he National Archery Buyers Association (NABA) celebrated its 20th anniversary at the organization’s
annual business show held at the Reno-Sparks
Convention Center adjacent to the Atlantis Hotel Casino
Spa in Reno, Nevada this past February. The hotel served as
headquarters for the event. This year, the NABA has introduced a new vendor membership program to streamline
access and participation with its dealer members while
a new vendor membership program will benefit serious
vendors looking to increase their annual sales volumes.
Manufacturers and distributors of archery related products
can review NABA’s new vendor membership program by
going to naba-archery.com and
using the vendor tab at the top
of the page for access.
NABA Board President
Norm Geertson is seen at far
right addressing the 163 vendors who were in attendance
and explaining how the dealer
raffle worked. Geertson said
the NABA awarded more than
$20,000 in prize money to dealers, who could then apply the
money won to any vendor order
they placed or use it for future
purchases.
Each day of the show, dealers had a chance to win one of
seven $500 awards and three
$1,000 awards. NABA board
members are pictured here
drawing the names of the lucky
winners.

NABA. Eichholz (right), who is
in charge of customer service
at Neet Archery Products, told
ArrowTrade her parents started Neet and
this was her first show. “This is the first
year I’ve covered the NABA show and I’ve
met some great people from the western
part of the country who I don’t get to meet at
the ATA and that’s important to me,” she stated.
Pictured above are the first day’s raffle winners of a $500 credit certificate awarded by the
NABA. In the front row, from left to right, are

archery shop and he enjoyed coming to the NABA Show
because it gave him time to work and place orders at a more
leisurely pace than what he faces at his shop.
Above, The Reno-Sparks Convention Center boasts over
half a million square feet of meeting space and is only 15
minutes from the Reno airport. It is connected by a walkway to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
The Atlantis was only minutes from
the Reno airport and provided comfortable rooms, excellent restaurants,
interesting gaming and great entertainment for both dealers and vendors.
This was the fourth year the NABA
show was held at the Atlantis.
Dealers were hosted at a Friday
night buffet by NABA board members
and personnel. Pictured at right is
some of the crowd.
Board members Lee Piersol
and Geertson (at right in this
photo) prepared to cut the birthday
cake celebrating the NABA’s 20th
year serving retailers from across
the country. It was the dessert for
the banquet.
Geertson was recognized at the
Friday night banquet for his contribution to the NABA for the past
20 years. He is one of six original
founders and holds the office of
president of the NABA. Geertson
has worked closely with the
Archery Trade Association, holding a position on the Dealer Council and
is the NABA’s Dealer Advisor Liaison. His
tenure with the National Archery Buyers
Association in the last 20 years has resulted
in the organization growing to the largest archery only buying group in North
America.
ATA President Jay McAninch is pictured

at the Friday evening banquet. McAninch
reminded dealers of the benefits the NABA

provides and that an overwhelming number of archery businesses are family owned and family run. Like family, they
all care about each other. McAninch noted the NABA has
been run by an excellent board of directors and said their
efforts are responsible for the success
of the organization
today but he also
challenged them to
look ahead and think
about who was going
to run the organization in the future.

recipient of a $1,000 credit voucher.
The 50-50 area shown below was
established to help dealers who have
especially high overhead costs, such
as rent, to increase their profit margins on certain items and be competitive with big box stores. NABA officials asked manufacturers to provide
a product that a dealer could sell to
make a 50 percent profit on the item.
“Vendors bring in the product they

manufacturers
donated many great raffle prizes,
which were awarded to attending dealers after the Friday evening dinner. NABA board members drew the names of lucky
dealers and assisted in distributing the dozens of prizes.

Jonathan Vanek of QQ Archery takes aim below and
demonstrates his QQ support system. Vanek said this exciting device is a real game changer because it reduces
fatigue by supporting the weight of your bow while you
are waiting to shoot your game or
target. Vanek explained that with the
new QQ Archery Support System, the
archer can now experience stealth
and steadiness at the most critical
time. When ready for the shot, simply lift the support leg slightly off the
ground and shoot. When the support system is no longer needed, it
retracts, allowing hunters to enjoy
the comfort of carrying the bow by
the support system. Vanek said the
Support System is lightweight, inexpensive and easy to use.
The Badlands exhibit is shown
above and it was easy to see the
popularity of this brand with dealers. Badlands started manufacturing
some of the finest mountaineering
packs in the world a decade ago and
says its technology was and still is
the most cutting-edge on the market. The company continues to make
hunting packs and accessories that set a new standard in
performance, design and comfort. Each Badlands pack
comes with an ironclad no-hassle guarantee. If a Badlands
pack should fail in any way, no matter where it was bought,
the consumer can send it back for repair or replacement free
of charge. Contact the company by calling (800) 269-1875.
John Schaffer, owner of Schaffer Precision Archery
Products, was excited to tell dealers about the new Opposition
Air bow sight, which
he said has the
brightest fibers in the
industry. Schaffer,
who’s pictured here,
said the four or six

Opposition
Air weighs only 4
ounces and features an opposed
pin system. Schaffer
also informed dealers that the sale of
the Opposition Lite

TightSpot quivers offer shooters
better bow balance along with dramatically reduced torque and vibration. These quivers, made in the USA,
offer shooters 20 percent more gripping power and promise no more dull
blades or accidental deployment of
expandable heads. Bob Crosiar (left in
the photo at above right) and Joe Jacks
told dealers about the new TightSpot
three arrow Treestand Quiver available
for 2015. The quiver shown below is
especially designed for the treestand
hunter who
may only need
three arrows.
Crosiar said
the compact
quiver design
is well suitedfor the close
quarters often
associated
with hunting
from a tree and offers super quiet performance when faced with close shots.
Crosiar also noted the new quiver acts
as a stabilizer for more accurate shooting and weighs only 6.86 ounces. All
TightSpot quivers come with an ironclad guarantee that says if the original
owner’s quiver ever breaks, no matter
how, the company will replace it at
no cost. The hood includes an acoustic dampening material to make the
quiver quieter than ever before. Phone
(406) 388-2546 to learn more.
Bill Mehaffey (below) was kept
busy by dealers wanting to know about
the new Elevation brand of bow cases,
hip quivers and accessories. Mehaffey
noted Elevation products use only the
highest quality materials and the diamond lock fabric used on most of the
new Elevation products is heat treated
and fray resistant to deliver excellent
performance. Elevation’s line of hip
quivers features Comfort-Tech: a new
airflow weight separation technology that provides cooling quality and
unique padding, which adds comfort
and an extra level of durability. The
Elevation Quiver features a 2 inch belt
receiver, aluminum/carbon capped
arrow tubes, a D-ring to conveniently
connect accessories, heavy duty zippers, vented pockets and an attractive embroidered logo. To learn more,

Poseidon has deeper cam grooves and
a continuous module to accommodate
any draw length. With a premium Teflon
cable slide designed to reduce wear on
the cables and corrosion resistant stainless steel hardware, this bow will stand
up to years of hard use. To make it even
more attractive to shooters, Fin-Finder
camo dressed out the bow with unmistakable styling. Call (717) 492-8025 for
additional information.
Some shooters consider the
Optimizer line of bow sights by HHA
to be among the finest in the industry
and the new Optimizer Lite King Pin,
along with the Tournament Edition,
promises to carry on that tradition.
According to Chris Hamm, who’s pictured at the top of the page, the new
models represent the third generation
of his company’s single pin, movable
pin bow sights. “These two sights are
loaded with features no other bow sight
can offer,” Hamm told us. Featuring
interchangeable wheels and a crystal
clear magnifier paired with a Blue Burst
light, the Hunter model allows for rapid
adjustment in the darkest of blinds. The
Hunter offers integrated 2nd and 3rd
axis adjustment and a wheel forward
design that is ideal for mounting one
piece quivers. A Blind 20 feature allows
for a fast return to the most common
predetermined distance without looking. Hamm said the Tournament Edition
is the first bow sight aimed specifically
at the tournament and 3-D crowd. The
Tournament Edition at lower left offers
a 4 to 8 inch dovetail, interchangeable
yardage wheels and magnified sight
tapes and can be fully accessorized with

Alpine Archery is celebrating its 27th year of designing
and manufacturing many innovative and proven products.
These products are tested under actual field conditions to
ensure they meet exacting hunter demands. Jeff Simler (left
in photo above) and Vince Kite explained the features of
the new Power Loc Ultralite bow quiver to dealers. This new
four arrow quiver sports the best features of the legendary
Soft Loc Quiver with the addition of some great new design
features and improvements. When the quiver comes off
the bow mount, all of the latching system comes off as well
and stays with the quiver so there is no chance of unwanted
noise or vibration from the quiver mount while the quiver is
off the bow. Simler explained accidental dismounting of the
quiver is not going to happen because the new Power Loc
has an innovative roll and lock latch to prevent accidental
detachment. The Power Loc quiver comes in five popular
camouflage patterns, including black. The SL2 quiver is
an upgraded version of the popular Soft Loc introduced
in 2001. This new version features a super strong Power
Loc Mounting System that utilizes a smaller mount, lighter
guide rails and a reduced mass weight. It is available in
three and five arrow versions and will accommodate two,
three and four blade broadheads in standard or mechanical
configurations. Alpine has also introduced the new Survival
Bow Sling, which offers shooters a machined aluminum
mount that seamlessly interfaces with any bow riser. It is
fitted with adjustable rubber straps with durable clips laced
on each side. The braided paracord strap is available in
several attractive colors and can be secured in each clip to
create a comfortable bow sling. Call (208) 746-7065 for additional information.
Neet Archery Products makes high quality quivers, bow
cases, gloves and armguards and according to Customer
Service Representative Brenda Eichholz, the company now
offers a new Compression Sleeve Armguard. Eichholz, who’s
pictured above wearing the new addition, explained it
comes in four sizes and five colors in addition to the Lost
Camouflage pattern. It has a padded strip for protection and
provides shirt sleeve restraint as well. To learn more about
this or any other Neet product, phone the company at (660)

If animals have a sixth sense, it may be due to the electrical energy given off by the human body. According to Andy
Day, shown below, HECS clothing, by incorporating a carbon fiber grid built into the fabric, helps control and manage that energy so that hunters remain undetected by game
animals. Based on the Faraday Cage principle, HECS clothing works to block human electrical energy waves much like
the grid door on a microwave oven blocks microwaves. Used
with the appropriate camouflage and scent control, HECS
clothing may allow a hunter to get closer to game than ever
before. This year, the company has added the Stealthscreen
six pocket pant, along with the Stealthscreen cap and gloves,
to its current line of clothing. Day is pictured below with the
new pant. Phone (541) 575-4327 to learn more.

release sling that won’t drop off the bow. Jones also noted
the sling carries the bow’s weight on the riser instead of on
the fragile cams. The product is made from a lightweight,
silent and weather resistant fabric and comes in black, dark
earth, carbon fiber and six other camouflage patterns. The
Cam Guards protect the bow’s cams and fit cams up to 7

Every archer
needs a target and
the new Vault by
Field Logic promises to effectively
stop both broadheads and field
points. According
to Dave Bakken,
national accounts
manager for Field
Logic who is
shown below, the
Vault features a new, locked in and higher density layered
core with new aiming points designed for shooting close,
shooting long and shooting precisely. Bakken, who is pictured beside the target, said the Vault is especially effective
in stopping crossbow bolts and small diameter arrows.
He also noted the popular Glen Del Buck now comes in a
crossbow model and has a four sided Vital Insert that can
be turned to extend the target life. For those who prefer an
easy pull target, Bakken noted the new Hurricane bag target
comes in 20, 25 and 28 inch models as well as a 12 inch
Crossbolt Stop. Bakken also informed dealers of the new IQ
Ultra Lite bowsight that is engineered with lightweight fiber
polymer construction, making it IQ’s lightest bow sight. The
Ultra Lite is impact resistant, protected with a silent coat finish and available in a three or five pin configuration. Bakken
also noted two additional IQ bow sights that are sure to get
the attention of hunters. The IQ Pro and the Pro XT come
with the familiar retina lock but are 50 percent smaller for
twice the sensitivity and increased downrange accuracy.
They are each available in a five or seven pin configuration
and will accommodate a sight light for use under low light
conditions. Field Logic can be reached at (800) 282-4868,
According to brothers Stan (left in photo below) and
Brad Love, Western Recreation saw a banner year in 2014
and is looking forward to an even better 2015. According to
Stan, the Love family has been in the archery industry for
the past 85 years and has survived by providing archers with
innovative products manufactured with the highest quality
materials and workmanship, all backed by superior knowledge and service. The company makes several models of
traditional bows, along with additional archery equipment,
including quivers. “The new Stealth quiver has generated
a lot of interest for us,” Brad told us. The Stealth’s shoulder
design makes arrow removal fast, easy and quiet. Brad said
the Stealth features genuine buffalo hide construction and
has an adjustable shoulder strap with metal hardware. It
holds 18 arrows with field points and fits both right and left
handed shooters. Brad told ArrowTrade the new Traveler
bow case is the first hard bow case designed for traditional
bows. The Traveler fits bows up to 62 inches in length and
has a hard composite composition with lockable snap closures. Integral gear compartments keep accessories safe

Products. His company’s E-Z Fletch tool
makes arrow building and repair simple for anyone. Phillips’
big news, however, was the introduction of a new software
program for dealers, which Phillips said is the industry’s first
business software designed to help archery shop owners
increase business performance and profitability. Phillips is
shown here discussing the merits of the new software with
Andrew Steffen of No Limit Outdoors, located in Spencer,
Iowa. Phillips explained that with this new program, a
shop owner can make online reservations for shooters and
accurately track range use to eliminate lost or wasted time.
The program will also track a customer’s sales history and
preferences in addition to matching a product to a specific
customer. The software will also allow a shop owner to manage repairs, track special orders and warranty items with real
time updates using texts or email. Finally, Phillips explained
the program will allow a dealer to track customer history and
preferences through a database integrated into a marketing
or loyalty program. To learn more about this innovative software, phone (480) 705-7300.
Since Nose Jammer by Fair Chase Products was introduced a few years ago, many hunters have come to rely on
its ability to prevent a whitetail from detecting them through
its sense of smell. According to Bob Anacabe, who’s pictured at the top of the page, the product contains natural
aromatic compounds that are emitted by trees, shrubs and
grasses and at concentrated levels, these compounds have
the ability to overload an animal’s ability to perceive human
odor. Anacabe explained Nose Jammer products contain
naturally occurring vanillin, linalool and coumarin in high
levels and these work in concert to shut down the ability

the only quiver in the industry that adjusts completely to fit
any size of arrow. It is available in four and six arrow configurations and when fully collapsed, it measures 11-1/2 inches.
Garcia also said the new AXT Rogue Five Pin Sight is the
“Ferrari” of bow sight machining technology. The Rogue is
machined from 6061 T6 Aluminum, using an industry-leading Five-Axis machine. This sight features a Taper-Core sight
bracket, which not only looks cool but allows for increased
strength in key areas while decreasing weight. This, Garcia
noted, results in superior strength to withstand any conditions. Find out more by calling (406) 924-6113.

Paul Farina of Rick’s House of Arrows,
located in Sparks, Nevada. Tycksen
explained the five layer XKG Series is
simple layering that can work either
by itself or as a system. He said hunters can wear just one layer or add layers depending on weather conditions,
temperature or body heat. Tycksen also
noted the XKG system was built to
keep a hunter warm, dry and comfortable. The XKG clothing line is available

Dealers continually kept Gold Tip
personnel busy writing orders during
the three days of the show and for
good reason. Gold Tip has introduced
four new arrows for 2015. The Kinetic
Kaos will appeal to hunters looking for
a durable, hard hitting arrow with a
small diameter. The Team Primos balances a hunter’s need for speed with
ample weight for deep penetration. The
Ted Nugent is a strong, fast
and hard hitting arrow with
three distinct choices to get
the job done. The Name The
Game is the final new Gold
Tip offering, endorsed by Levi
and Samantha Morgan. These
arrows promise to retain their
straightness in the competition circuit and on the most
demanding hunts. Both arrows
have a straightness tolerance of
+/-.003 inches and a weight tolerance of +/-2 grains. They are
available with 2 inch vanes only.
According to Austin May, Gold
Tip arrows have been redesigned
for good looks and have new
labeling and packaging, along
with new component options.

says has a smaller diameter
shaft with a heavy sidewall for
durability and maximum penetration. The Kaos features a new GTO
nock and bushing to provide precision
nock alignment and increased accuracy, along with a new Ballistic Collar
to align broadheads while increasing
the strength of the shaft/insert/broadhead connection. May also noted the
new B Stinger Pro Hunter Maxx hunting stabilizer is designed to keep a
hunter steady while under pressure. It
features a patented design that delivers a maximum moment of inertia,
which provides greater shot control
and gives hunters the confidence they
need to drive an arrow home. The Pro
Hunter Maxx is based around a high
modulus carbon rod that provides ultra
stiff construction and has three independently removable end weights to
provide customized balance and performance. A Sims Internal Harmonic
Dampener and De-Resonator perform
double duty on shot induced vibration
to assure ultimate control. To find out
more, contact the Orem, Utah company by calling (800) 551-0541.

traditional and recurve shooter and
she sees an upsurge in the number of
people getting back into shooting traditional archery equipment. “We offer
material in 15 colors and shooters can
mix and match the colors to customize
their quiver or bow case as they wish,”
Peck said. “What sets us apart from
other companies is that we offer more
sizes for recurve and compound bow
cases than any other company. Our
Deluxe Takedown Case is fully padded,
fleece lined with a full zipper and double pulls and has an exterior accessory
pocket and it’s our best selling bow
case. Our Deluxe Orion Quiver is our
best selling arrow quiver and it features
six separate arrow sleeves, a zippered

Because of a growing market in
traditional archery, G&H Outdoors
was formed in 2003 by Jerry and
Nancy Huff, pictured at right. In 2009,
it became the U.S. distributor for
Ragim, an Italian traditional archery
bow manufacturer and today, it offers
a wide array of world class bows for
archers and hunters. All of the company’s products are made with the finest
materials and include the latest technological advancements. Jerry noted
G&H Outdoors strives to offer quality
archery products at the best possible
prices. Jerry told ArrowTrade the new
Antelope is a wonderful takedown bow
with a classic shape that shooters will
love. The central body of this 62 inch
bow has a rounded design that fits
easily in the hand of any archer. Hard
maple, walnut and padouk wood are
used to give this bow a pleasing aesthetic appearance. The limbs are made
of clear fiberglass combined with hard
maple while the black fiberglass and
hard maple limbs of the Black Antelope
model give it striking good looks. For
those who prefer a one piece bow, the
Mountain Lion will appeal. This bow
offers clear fiberglass laminations on
the limbs and a maple and carbon
insert for high performance. The tips of
this 62 inch bow are made of phenolic
material in two colors and are perfectly

Trophy Bowstrings are handcrafted from BCY material by John and
Colleen Laubinger, who are pictured
above. According to John, all strings
and cables are laid out to proper
dimensions and all strands are tensioned evenly by his unique building
system. All strings and cables are prestretched and served at 300 pounds
and then measured by AMO standards.
After stretching, recovery and serving, all strings, once shot in, are guaranteed to be free from creep, peep
rotation and serving separation. John

Hunters, fishermen and campers
all need a sturdy, affordable cooler
to keep things cold for days. The
Outfitter by Canyon Coolers meets all
of these requirements and then some.
According to Sales Associate Daniel
Fearey, the new Outfitter provides a
clean, practical design and excellent
ice retention. Fearey told dealers the
Outfitter is available in six sizes, from
16 to 125 quarts and all but the smallest
22 quart model come with a drain plug
that cannot be lost. An integrated hinge
and a heavy-duty seal ensure there will
be no leaking of cold air, which means
food and ice will keep longer. Fearey,
shown below, explained that coated

Decoys are often an effective means for getting close to
game animals and Heads Up Decoy provides hunters with
a realistic, simple to use, mobile and packable way to do so.
According to company Owner Garrett Roe, who’s pictured
above holding the company’s most popular cow elk decoy
head, his company has grown significantly as hunters across
the nation have embraced the concept of using partial body
handheld decoys to get close to game animals or lure them
into shooting range. The words “simple,” “realistic,” “versatile,” “effective,” “portable,” “durable,”
“collapsible” and “quiet” describe Heads
Up Decoy and these concepts are deeply
engrained in the design to allow hunters
the ability to hunt like they want or need
to hunt. Currently, Heads Up decoys are
available in a cow elk, mule deer doe,
mule deer buck, antelope buck, whitetail doe, whitetail buck and new tom
turkey decoy model. Roe told interested
dealers the mobile turkey decoy requires
a real turkey fan to completely seal the
deal on wary spring toms. Contact the
company at (785) 621-4797.
From the number of dealers we saw
placing orders at the Black Gold booth,
it was clear the company’s sights were
popular with western hunters. Jason
Flaherty, national account manager,
said Black Gold’s two new sight offerings are sure to get attention. The new
Revenge and Backdraft models feature
fixed pin precision, which is fully micro
adjustable, with second and third axis
adjustability for added accuracy. Each
features a high performance photochromic shell for bright pin illumination and will accept 2x or 4x lenses
while wide Delrin Hush Wheels permit
smooth adjustability. The Revenge is
available with a standard or
larger BigDog pin guard while
an optional, fully machined 6
inch dovetail base puts the sight pins further from the eye
so they’re easier to focus on and to allow for finer tuning.
The Revenge (above) also features third axis adjustment and
easy detachment for those who travel. Flaherty, who’s shown
here holding both models, said nothing compares to Black
Gold’s exclusive Inch-Wheel Micro-Adjustment System,
which is calibrated so one full turn equals approximately 1
inch at 20 yards. He noted that hunters can fine-tune each
individual pin. “It’s fast, easy and simple,” he added. Contact
the Montana company by calling (406) 388-9060.

Andy Gasbar, national sales and marketing representative for Upwind
products, told ArrowTrade Upwind
copper scent control products incorporate the most advanced proprietary copper ion technology, which eliminates a broad
spectrum of odors. Gasbar, who is shown here, noted
this technology has been used for years in health care
and industrial environments and it contains no hazardous
chemicals. He noted this copper ion technology is a charged
catalyst system that rapidly reacts oxygen molecules with
odor molecules and this continually powers permanent
odor destroying reactions. Gasbar also said Upwind is safe,
odorless and non-staining and has a long shelf life. He said
a new, eye-catching copper packaging will be used on all
Upwind products in 2015.
The Cross Creek Trading Company strives to deliver
the absolute best products at a reasonable price. Company
Owner Larry Surber told ArrowTrade his company’s products are made by hunters, for hunters and the unique new
Quick Packer takedown pack will appeal to a large number of them who are concerned about the weight and size
of their equipment when hunting in remote areas. Fully
assembled, the Quick Packer weighs only 2 pounds and is
adaptable to any load up to 100 pounds. Surber noted the
strong nylon webbing will provide years of service and the
unit even contains a padded hip belt for added comfort and
greater load capability. The Quick Packer can be carried in
a day or fanny pack and can be assembled in minutes with
no tools. It is made from aircraft grade, black powder coated
aluminum tubing and once assembled, the frame is ready
to carry out meat, hide or a caped head. Surber is pictured
above with the Quick Pack assembled and disassembled to
show its compactness. Surber also noted his company now
offers hunters the Spreader Bar, a useful and practical tool
designed to hold the chest cavity of a field dressed animal
open for faster cooling. The bar can be adjusted to 12, 15 and
18 inches and can accommodate most game animals. Phone

grain two blade head with .030 replaceable blades that offer
true field tip accuracy. To place an order, call (256) 502-9770.
Cobra Archery was eager for customers to see this year’s
new and improved dual caliper releases. Ted McClendon
(pictured above) was kept busy filling orders for the new
Serengeti and Safari releases, which each feature a forward
mounted trigger to enhance bow speed and shootability.
McClendon explained the Serengeti has a single sear design
for lightning quick hookup while the web strap connection
offers infinite and easy draw length adjustment for less
torque and greater accuracy. McClendon noted the release
head of the Safari tucks easily away when you are climbing or it can be completely out of the way until needed.
Its compact dual caliper design with a roller sear offers a
smooth and consistent release. The Safari also offers a precision machined, contoured radius jaw design that is ideal
for D-loop shooters. Phone the company toll free by calling

Whether you phone, fax or use the Internet to place your
orders, dealers have access to Jake’s Archery’s wide selection of inventory. The Orem, Utah based distributor offers
same day order processing and dealers can be assured quick
and reliable service. Annie Langston, who is pictured below
speaking to Steve Hamilton, said Jake’s Archery is the number one distributor in the west and
customer satisfaction is its top priority. “We take special care to ensure
our service to our
newer shops as
well as our established customers is
top notch,” Annie
said. Jake’s provides quality products and friendly
sales personnel along with
a well trained staff to help
dealers solve the problems

First Lite now offers its
new Fusion camouflage pattern on most of its apparel.
Ross Copperman, vice president of sales for the company, informed dealers that
this new pattern has no pixels and no trees and was
designed exclusively for First
Lite. Copperman explained
Fusion is a proprietary mix of
shapes and colors designed to
obliterate the human shape
and the pattern dissolves into
its surroundings better than any other pattern available.
He noted it is effective from 2 to 2,000 yards and works by
removing the characteristic outlines of the hunter through
a powerful set of features that include macro and micro
disruption as well as finely tuned distortions. Copperman is
pictured above holding the Corrugate Guide pant that was

designed with the input of the First Lite Pro Staff. “What
makes this pant different is that they are made of Duraflex
nylon, which provides four way stretch and superior durability,” Copperman informed us. “This pant is built around
a simple design concept that allows the hunter uninhibited
freedom of movement while providing easy access storage
by way of our 3-D double cargo pockets. It even has both
belt and suspender loops, as well as a DWR finish to keep a
hunter dry during rain showers.” To learn more, contact the
Ketchum, Idaho company at (208) 806-0066.
The Ozonics scent control system takes odor elimination to a new level because it doesn’t involve sprays that
contain, cover or eliminate human scent. According to Harry
Grim (left in photo below) and Jake Schuyler of Hudalla
Associates, Ozonics is a revolutionary system that molecularly transforms and destroys human scent by altering the
human scent code so that it is unrecognizable by a deer or
any other big game animal. “The system generates ozone
and that kills odor,” Grim told us. “The ozone is heavier than
air, so it showers the hunter with a curtain of scent killing
ozone.” Grim noted the system is especially effective in the
tight confines of a hunting blind. The unit has a rechargeable
battery that lasts approximately eight hours and extra batteries are available to extend its effective run time. To learn
more about this system, phone (979) 285-2400.
“ASAT” stands for “All Season All Terrain” and for 20
years, the company’s camouflage pattern has continued
to turn hunters’ heads because of its light khaki tan background and contrasting curved and striped shapes. ASAT
camo is fully effective in bright, direct sunlight and the low
light of early morning or late evening. ASAT is so effective,
company Owner Rob Smollack told dealers he is so confident in this camouflage pattern that he offers an impressive guarantee: if any customer wears ASAT exclusively for
one year and doesn’t see more game than he or she ever
has when wearing anything else, the company will buy the
garment back. Smollack (left) is pictured below with Orrin
Pyrah, holding a new lightweight pant that is part of the
Elite Series of baselayer clothing offered by the company. It
features four way stretch, articulated knees and a gusseted
and vented crotch. This new pant will be available in khaki
and the ASAT camouflage pattern. Smollack also noted the
company is featuring a new company logo and new branding for 2015. Call ASAT at (406) 563-9336 to lean more about
its products.
Bowhunters will go to great lengths to find a perfect
hunting location but it may not be as roomy as they would
like. This is why many prefer using a shorter axle-to-axle bow
that will let them maneuver in these tight quarters. Jason
Fuller, sales manager for Prime and G5, explained to dealers that the new Prime Ion may be perfect for those hunting
from a confined ground blind or tight tree setup. The Ion
is only 31 inches axle-to-axle and has an IBO speed rating
of 330 feet per second. Fuller also noted a new addition to
the Prime target line. The new One STX features an all-new
shoot through riser that makes the bow virtually torque free
by creating a better balanced riser without the extra weight.

Combined with a Parallel
Cam System and new
Adjustable Flexing Roller
Guard, Fuller said, the One
STX may be the most accurate bow in the world. Fuller
is pictured at upper right
with both new bow models.
In the G5 line, Fuller noted,
the new AMP bow is generating a great deal of interest. He explained the AMP
offers high performance
and speed to match. It has
an all new Stabilite riser and
features the greatest draw
weight range available without any loss of efficiency.

The Pro Drop Limb
Activated Fall-Away arrow rest by
Arizona Archery Enterprises Inc. was
designed to give bowhunters and target
archers perfect vane and feather clearance and ultimate accuracy. Its rugged
construction, along with both vertical and horizontal micro adjustment
features, makes it easy to tune any
bow and keep it tuned. Representative
Bob Spacy (at lower right) explained
the new Pro Drop rest is the most
accurate and stable limb driven fallaway rest on the market. The new and
improved Pro Drop can quickly and
easily be converted from a limb activated to a cable activated fall-away
rest in a matter of minutes. It features
a stainless steel axle that rotates on
twin stainless steel sealed ball bearings to produce ultimate accuracy,
combined with dependability and long
life. Spacy explained that the launcher
arm stays up longer to increase the
time the arrow is on the rest, which
translates into more accurate shooting.
The Pro Drop also features a shortened
drop time for maximum clearance. It
is available in black or in the Mathews
Lost Camo pattern. The company can
be reached by calling (928) 772-9887.
According to Axion Archery
National Sales Manager Dave Potts,
the new Axion 2N1 HTR Stabilizer has
taken a new direction in bow stabilization. “This is the perfect stabilizer for
the archer that requires a lot of stabilizer in a small package,” Potts noted.
He explained company engineers

placed a vertical damper below the
center of gravity, making the 2N1 HTR
shoot like a 6 inch long stabilizer while
maintaining a low 4 inch profile. “The
results are amazing and you do not
have to remove the stabilizer from your
bow for storage,” he continued. “The 7
ounce stabilizer with dual dampening
system shoots great and the innovative
carrying handle proves Axion Archery
is a leader in the industry and really
does have a handle on the competition.” Potts is pictured on the next
page with the 2N1 HTR and said it can
double as a carry handle. He told us
the Pulse arrow rest is becoming more
popular as more shooters are recognizing its technology. He explained the

retracts faster. The rest then resets
itself to the upright ready position automatically. Potts noted
that unlike on other conventional
drop-away rests, the triggering
cable on the Pulse rest attaches
to the lower half of the bowstring or cable. This means the
launcher stays up, cradling the
arrow longer to provide the ultimate amount of guidance during release. “The power retract
mechanism engages and then
pulls the launcher away ultrafast, up to five times faster than
previous spring loaded rests, providing maximum fletching clearance and a straighter, more
accurate arrow flight,” Potts explained. “At the end of the
shot cycle, the internal rotary damper continues to apply
pressure on the launcher, holding it down on the bow shelf
until the arrow passes completely for total clearance. The
launcher then returns to the ready position automatically.”

Greatree only sells its high quality archery products
through qualified pro shops and according to Steven Kim,
sales assistant manager (pictured above right), Greatree’s
progressive concepts are at the front of the recreational,
target and hunting archery markets. Kim noted all Greatree
Archery products are designed for excellent performance
and come with a one year warranty. Kim showed
dealers the Mohegan Pro, which he said is an
upgraded beginner’s version of the popular Mohegan and
features blended Mycarta limb tips, black limbs and metal
limb pockets. He noted this new model is different from the
Mohegan offered in the past. The laminated handle is strong
and eye-catching and this bow is designed to be used as a
hunting bow. Kim also said the Mohegan Pro offers margins
to make a dealer more profitable. The Venom wood grain
carbon arrow was designed with the recurve hunter in mind
and this year, it is offered in a new bamboo finish version.
The bamboo knots are hand painted on each arrow to give
it a true bamboo look. It is available as a shaft only and is
