Societa del Quartetto di Vicenza Art and Education in the XXI Century International Forum Musical Performance and Pedagogics Solo singing Art of Accompaniment 2015 March 25 – April 2 (5) Lonigo, Italy Regulations for participation Since 1994 our Association with other organizations has been realizing a new complex programme aimed at the wide range of contemporary musical and pedagogical, educational, performing and artistic problems. This programme includes International forums, festivals and Pedagogical mastery schools. Forums and festivals were held with great success in Poland (1994, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011), in Russia (1995), in Greece (1996, 2002), in France (1997), in Italy (1998, 2000), in Italy and Austria (2002 – 2014), in Denmark and Sweden (2001, 2003), in Portugal (2004 – 2013), in Finland and Sweden (2004 – 2014), in the Czech Republic (2007, 2008), in Lithuania (Klaipeda, 2013, 2014). Since 1998 “The International Schools of Pedagogical and Performing Mastery” as well as “21st Century Art” competitions for young musicians have been held using the Ukrainian Composers' House as a base. So the teachers have got a unique chance to improve their professional skill, to share their experience with their colleagues from different countries all over the world. Young performers has been awarded with the titles of Laureates of competition have got a chance to perform their programmes in various concerts all over the world. We invite teachers, students, young performers, singers and accompanists to participate in the International Forum in Lonigo. Also participants of the Forum should send photo (photos) for booklet by e-mail. Demands: photo(s) of best quality (JPG or TIFF), portrait, size in pixels no less then 600-700 by height. Participants who need a Schengen visa should send a scanned copy of passport (double page with photo). The Organizing Committee is not responsible for non-issuance of visas by consulates. The Organizing Committee may reject an application without explanation. The estimated cost of participation is 720 €. This sum includes: accommodation and meals in Lonigo (8 days from March 25 to April 2), an accreditation fee (160 €). This sum does not include the cost of visa and medical insurance, visiting of museums and excursions. The cost of excursions from April 2 to April 5 is approximately 310 € (including accommodation and meals in Lonigo). All participants themselves bear travel and other expenses related to their stay at the Forum). Expenses for transport, accommodation and excursions are paid by the participants. The Organizing Committee may provide an accompanist for a fee. All teachers and contestants will be presented with qualification certificates, memorable souvenirs and diplomas. Date of arrival and departure from Italy; 12. Excursions from April 2 to April 5: Yes/No. Competition rules The competition is held in one or two rounds for soloists and accompanists (by contestant' choise). Repertoire should be selected by each participant himself. The application form must contain the program of each round. The International Jury evaluates the participants' performances. The decisions of the Jury are final and irrevocable. The Jury has the right not to judge a performance of competitor in case of a non-observance of program requirements. Winners of two-rounds contest will receive the title of Laureate or Diploma Holder of International competition, will be awarded by gifts. All participants of the 2nd round can record their performances on the CD*. Winners of the 2nd round will perform in concerts during 2015 in different countries. The Jury can award a few contestants by the same prize (place). Competition requirements Singers (solo academy vocal) perform in 4 groups according to the educational range of participants: • Group 1 – students of musical and art colleges and conservatories; • Group 2 – students of high educational establishments (academies); • Group 3 – singers graduated from high educational establishments (academies) at the age under 45; • Group 4 – singers without professional vocal education at the age between 17 and 35. 1st round • antic aria; • romance; • folk song of competitor’ native country. 2nd round • comprehensive aria by composer of 19th or 20th century; • romance or song by composer of 19th century; • works by choise of competitor. All musical compositions should be performs by memory on original language. Time restrictions: from 12 till 15 minutes in 1st round, and 20 minuts in 2nd round. Professional singers without age limit can pacticipate in 2-rounds competition. All vocal accompanists and accompanists with their illustrator-vocalists can participate in the Art of accompaniment nomination. * The Association “Art and Education in the XXI Century” is the Copyright Holder of audio and video recordings made at the events of the Forum. March 278 Friday 10:00-13:00 – Rehearsals, individual lessons. 14:00-18:00 – Excursion in Vicenza. 19:00-21:00 – Master classes. March 28 Saturday 10:00-18:00 – Hearing of competitors. The 1st round. March 29 Sunday 10:00-13:00 – Rehearsals, individual lessons. 14:00-18:00 – Master classes. 20:00 – Concert. March 30 Monday 11:00-18:00 – Hearing of competitors. The 2nd round. 20:00 – Concert. March 31 Tuesday Excursion in Firenze. April 1 Wednesday Excursion in Verona. 19:00 – Ceremonial closing of the Forum. Concert of Prizewinners.
