Gail’s Gossip
Hi,
I can’t believe that another month has passed. I hope that
everyone and their families have settled into the new
school year routine. It was great to see my grandchildren
so excited for their first day at kinder.
I have been busy sewing, packing for the shows, ordering
more yummy fabrics, unpacking new stock, and setting
up a brand new block of the month program.
That is right, we will now be offering block of the month. Our
first project is Rosalie Quinlan’s ‘Simply Blessed’ Quilt. We have
this program offered in many forms, full set of patterns and fabric,
BOM, patterns only, poseted or pick up in store, available in Nellie
Hill fabrics, French Mas D’ouvan fabrics or an original and unique
kit. If you are

It has also been a
productive month for
completing quilts. The
wedding ring quilt
which Rebecca and I
sewed last month, now
has the flowers
appliquéd and has been
quilted. We are very
pleased with the results
and it looks stunning
on our classroom wall.
The blocks which
Rachael, Chrissy and
Lesley were
demonstrating during
the truck show, have
been completed and the
quilt was completed by Rebecca and I. Rebecca and I have also
completed a Seasonal
Tablerunner, Stepping Stones
quilt and many of the blocks
for a Bali Wedding Star quilt.

You may have
noticed that
Rebecca and I
often sew
together. I feel
that I am so
lucky that we
share a love of
quilting. It
enables us to
spend plenty of
time together
sewing and
chatting.
Rebecca’s children are now aged three and four.
So, it is time for them to learn sewing. I look forward to sewing weekends one day with my daughter and
her daughters.
I hope you enjoy drooling over the
pictures of new fabrics and projects
available in store. I hope to see
many of you in the next month
either in the shop or at Sydney or
Brisbane show.

Shopping Tours
If you are thinking about organizing a bus tour, why
not stop at the shop. There is plenty of room for
everyone to wander around the shop at the same
time. So your guests do not have to wait their turn
to see what is inside. And there is plenty
inside…Also, there is lots of space in our new
classroom for morning tea subject to availability,
we can put the urn on, and a toilet is available. If
you would like more info, please contact the shop.

‘Simply Blessed’ BOM
This block of the month runs for 9 months. In the first eight months, you will receive a pattern, preprinted linen, fabrics for the block and 2 skeins of thread. In the ninth month, you will receive a pattern,
pre-printed linen, fabrics for the block, fabrics for the borders.
We have the BOM available in two colourways; ‘Nellie Hill’ or ‘French Mas D’ouvan’. If you are

New Arrivals
Mas D’ouvan has released their new Spring 2014 collection by Bruno Lamy called ‘Les Bleus’. This
range is more commonly known as ‘French Mas D’ouvan’. It is so new in store that it has not all
arrived just yet. Majority is available and we are told the remainder is expected any day. This range
offers softer tones inspired by the delicate atmosphere of fine old mansion houses hidden in the
mysterious landscapes of France.

Daisy Dayz Quilt

information on needles, batting and
