Overview This environmental art event is designed to increase awareness of the City’s recycling program, as well as the awareness of art. The goal is to promote environmental art to all, while learning about the recycling programs in the City of Santa Clarita. Guidelines Everything used in the work, with the exception of what holds it together, should be made of reusable, recycled, and/or recyclable material. It may be painted or left natural. Please do not use hazardous materials or containers that once held hazardous waste (i.e. paint, oil, pesticides, cleaning products, chemicals, etc). In addition, ALL ART PROJECTS MUST BE PRESERVED OR RECYCLED PROPERLY. NO ART SHOULD END UP IN A LANDFILL! Reserve Your Space Reserve a space in the Recycled Work of Art Gallery by April 3! To participate, you must reserve a space in the Recycled Work of Art Gallery. Please contact Donna Avila at (661) 250-3785 or [email protected] before April 3, 2015 if you will be bringing a “Work of Art” to Santa Clarita’s Earth Arbor Day Festival! Art Drop-off Drop off entries at the Recycled Work of Art Gallery at the Santa Clarita Earth Arbor Day Festival on Saturday, April 11, 2015 between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. in Central Park. Art Pick-up All Works of Art must be picked up the same day, Saturday, April 11, 2015 between 4 p.m.and 5 p.m. Any unclaimed artwork will be recycled.
