Leaflet of ASCHT2015

BACKGROUND
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow
(ASCHT) was organized in Xi'an, China, in 2007 with the intention of
encouraging scientific and technical cooperation and exchange among
Asian countries. The forum is held every two years to activate not only
scientific and technical communication but also to promote friendship
among members. The 5th ASCHT will be held at the BEXCO Convention
Hall, in Busan, from 21st to 24th June 2015. This conference is the fifth in
the series of biennial symposia that started in Xi`an, China (2007), and
were subsequently held in Jeju, Korea (2009), Kyoto, Japan (2011) and
Hong Kong, China (2013).
Papers will be selected based on one page abstracts (A4, single space,
Times New Roman letters of 10 font size) including results and figures.
Papers submitted should include the title of the paper, authors’ names
and affiliations, a concise statement of the problem, method of approach,
results and discussion, and conclusions. Please identify the corresponding
author. Electronic submissions are strongly encouraged. A submission
template is available from the symposium website (http://ascht2015.org)
which will be available in September. Please submit your abstract in a
Word or PDF format to the ASCHT’15 Secretariat via the ASCHT’15
website (online submission) or e-mail. The file size is limited to 5MB.
This conference aims to provide an international forum for presentation,
and exchange of ideas and creation of knowledge in recent advances on
various aspects of theories, analyses, and applications of computational
methods in theoretical and engineering aspects of fluid and thermal
science. The program includes invited keynote lectures by distinguished
experts from across the globe. There will be a few plenary sessions and
a large number of parallel technical sessions spread over the conference
period. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia,
research institutions and industry to exchange experiences, disseminate
up-to-date information, and explore new opportunities in the field;
in particular, it will expose young and new researchers to the state of the
art in the field by means of the conferences. It is anticipated that the 5th
Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow - 2015
(ASCHT’15) will serve to stimulate researchers while also furthering
cooperation among investigators in the field of thermo-fluid science and
engineering.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Original papers that deal with all aspects of CFD either qualitative and/or
quantitative in nature are solicited. Topics include but are not limited to:
• Computational heat transfer and fluid dynamics
• Computational multi-component and multiphase flow
• Computer simulations for reducing CO2 emission
• Numerical micro/nano fluid dynamics and heat transfer
• Numerical bio-fluid dynamics and heat transfer
• Numerical methods in multi-scale and multi-physics modeling
• Industrial heat-transfer applications

Busan, a bustling coastal city of approximately 3.6 million residents, is
located on the southeastern part of the Korean peninsula. Industrial heattransfer applications allowed it to grow into the largest container
handling port in the country and the fifth largest in the world. In the
coming years, capacity is set to grow further with the opening of the New
Port. The city's natural endowments and rich history have resulted in
Busan's increasingly growing reputation as a world class city of tourism
and culture. It is also becoming renowned as an international convention
destination.
