This hands-on class is for a beginning sewer or someone that just needs a refresher. Learn the parts of your sewing machine, common sewing terms, how to thread your machine, wind the bobbin, and more. You will leave knowing how to troubleshoot most common sewing machine problems and how to operate your machine for basic sewing. A thorough understanding of serging will eliminate 90% of the difficulties new owners often experience. Topics covered: General maintenance; Threading procedure (nonautomated); Manipulation of tensions for desired results (for nonautomated); and 4 thread seaming. While we strive to keep the turn time at a minimum, it will vary depending on the number of machines received. If you need your machine repaired sooner than the current turn time, we do offer a “same day service” at an additional cost. The only time a charge is higher than the flat rate service fee, is if your machine needs parts. We will call you when your machine needs more than $15.00 in parts.
