Block A: Make 5 (2 cream cats, 2 black cats, 1 rust cats) Use the cream solid and black paw print 2 7/8” squares to make 40 half square triangle units. Trim to 2 1/2” square if necessary. Draw a diagonal line on the rust paws 2 1/2” squares. Add to 20 cream multi print 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” rectangles, stitching on the drawn line. Cut away excess leaving a 1/4” seam allowance. Press triangles outward and trim to 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” if necessary. Make 20 geese units. Cut the rust paws 2 7/8” squares once diagonally. Add to the tiger print 2 1/2” squares. Stitch the units to the cat print fabric. (2 cream cats, 2 black cats, 1 rust cats) Block B: Make 4 Stitch cream solid 2 1/2” squares to 12 cream multi print and four leopard print 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” to make geese units as in block A. Stitch cream solid 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” rectangles, along with black allover print 2 1/2” squares. Trim to 8 1/2” square if necessary. Add the geese units as shown, along with more black allover print and cream solid 2 1/2” squares to complete the block. Trim to 12 1/2” square if necessary. Add the remaining units along with 20 cream solid 2 1/2” squares to complete the block. Trim to 12 1/2” square if necessary. Block C: Make 4 Make geese units as in block A using the remaining leopard print 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” rectangles and eight cream solid 2 1/2” squares. Cut into four 2” x 47” strips. Add to the quilt, mitering corners. Add the border print strips, mitering corners. Block D: Make 8 Make as for block C, using the cream multi print rectangles, and cream solid and black allover print 2 1/2” squares. Make four of each.
