Get crafty with your cuppa – we know that lots
of you, whether young or young at heart, love to
have things to make and do at your Traidcraft
Big Brew. This year we have two crafty projects
to brighten up your event, whether you’re a
confident crocheter or a novice knitter.
Row 17-36: repeat from
** to ** ten times
Tea pots come in a huge variety of shapes and
sizes. The ribbing at the top and bottom should
allow for some differences in height and shape.
We’ve included two sizes to cater for different
sizes of tea pot. The normal size pattern should
fit a 4-6 cup teapot. The large size should fit a
6-8 cup teapot. There will be some stretch in the
tea cosy so hopefully you will find one to fit!

Row 71 [RS]: BO
To make up
Bee
Sew the two sides together at the top and bottom –
about 1 inch up from the bottom and 2 inches down from
the top leaving a gap in the middle for the handle and
spout. Use your own tea pot as a guide.
Body (make 1)
Make a tie (about 40 cm in length) to thread through
the holes at the top of the cosy. I made a plait using 6
strands of wool, but you could use a ribbon or knit a
cord.
