One Day Training Facilitators of Divorced and Separated Support Groups Saturday, May 16, 2015 · 9:00am - 3:00pm Sacred Heart Major Seminary 2701 Chicago Blvd., Detroit MI This one day training to establish a divorced and separated support group ministry, is offered in conjunction with Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan and the Archdiocese of Detroit, Office of Marriage, Family and Pro-Life. With assistance from the Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide Trainer, a one-day facilitator training will take place so that trained leaders can facilitate a 12 week support group at Catholic Charities clinic locations and in parishes. It is designed for people who are going through the struggle of divorce. Each support group session includes a DVD that deal with healing from the inside out. About the Trainer: Rose Sweet, author and speaker, is your Catholic's DIVORCE SURVIVAL “Guide”. Rose has gone through divorce and annulment and loves to share the often misunderstood Church teachings on love, sex, marriage, and annulment. An example of topics included in the day: • Setting up and promoting your group • Understanding your role and responsibilities • Sharing the faith in the group setting • Confidentiality issues • Oﬀering supplementary materials Cost: $35.00 (This covers the cost of the manual) Checks can be made payable to Archdiocese of Detroit RSVP no later than Friday, May 8th.
