About The PROMPT Flex
PROMPT Flex is a brand new product which builds on the
success of the Limbs & Things PROMPT Birthing Simulator.
Design improvements and additional functionality have been
incorporated to set a new benchmark for a task trainer of its
kind. Combining anatomical accuracy, and features which
include a cervix and birth canal, this product provides the
ideal training solution for all skills relating to routine and
difficult births.
2
As the title of this product suggests, PROMPT Flex offers a
truly flexible system - a platform that is easy to use in any
clinical setting, including integrating the use of patientactors for simulation. The additional modules extend its use
for cervical assessment, performing caesarean section births
and postpartum haemorrhage (PPH).
The Force Monitoring component is now available as a
wireless solution, using Bluetooth technology combined
with software which is compatible with PC, Mac, iOS and
Android. Tablets as well as PCs can be used to run the
software which records the amount of traction applied to
the baby’s neck, as well as the other specific manoeuvres
required to assist the birth of the baby. Results are recorded
and can be used by the trainers as a debriefing tool.
