New Management Team
In January this year, the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) appointed a new management team at
Silverstone and Patrick Allen has been appointed Managing Director. Patrick has extensive experience in
sales and marketing and will retain responsibility for the “Customer Proposition” aspects of the business.
Patrick will be supported by Stuart Pringle who has been appointed to the new position of Sporting Director and will oversee the event
management and circuit operations side of the business.
New Silverstone MD,
Patrick Allen
Commenting on his vision for the circuit Patrick Allen said “Silverstone has great potential to become the ultimate entertainment venue
and with the support of the team I believe we can make it the place to go. I want our customers to know that they can visit the circuit
on any weekend of the year and be guaranteed an amazing value for money experience whether that is to watch motor racing, visit a
music concert, enjoy a food festival or attend an exhibition.”
MotoGP returns!
We are extremely pleased to be welcoming MotoGP back to Silverstone for
2015 and 2016! This year’s event will take place over the weekend of
28 – 30 August 2015.
Silverstone were very disappointed to lose MotoGP last autumn having developed the British
round into a highly successful event. However, following the announcement by Donington
Park confirming that they would not be hosting MotoGP, an agreement was reached with
Circuit of Wales to bring it back to Silverstone, securing the future of MotoGP racing in
the UK.

Wings for Life World Run – 3 May 2015
For the second year, Silverstone is again to be one of the locations for the world’s most spectacular
running race, the Wings for Life World Run. Taking place on Sunday 3 May 2015, thousands of runners
will set off on a unique race, staged simultaneously in 35 different countries, raising funds for spinal
cord research. The run will commence at midday and exactly 30 minutes after the runners set off,
official Catcher Cars will set off in pursuit. When a Catcher Car passes a runner, their race is over. The
last man and last woman running will be declared the winners.
Open to participants of all levels, shapes, sizes, abilities and ages, Silverstone will welcome more than
5,000 runners for the race. Those who make it around the circuit without being caught will head into
the surrounding countryside as they attempt to outrun thecatcher car.
Last year’s UK World Run title went to Paul Martelletti who outran the Catcher Car for an incredible 69.37km and came 5th in the World
rankings. Paul, 34, is an endurance runner from Middlesex and is a member of Victoria Park and Tower Hamlets running club.

The UK's only national truck racing series, the British Truck Racing Association
Championship visits Silverstone in 2015 with a packed timetable and 10 truck races
scheduled over the weekend.
The trucks themselves are based upon series production trucks but feature major
performance modifications. Top speed on all competing trucks is restricted to 100mph
(160km/h), producing extremely close racing, and speeds are verified by a GPS
system.
The Silverstone Truck Festival will be a family friendly event to include British and
International Truck Racing, a truck show, customised van displays, custom truck
parades, a truck market area, open paddock, driver signing/chat sessions and a
children’s exhibition area. There will also be a live drive demo area to test drive new
