Sashes will be given for all champions.
High point junior and senior amateur rider awards will be given at the end of the series.

General Information
Ring 1
1. Entry fee: $20.00 per class for entries
received two days before the show. Post
entries $22.00 per class. Preregistration
ends May 16th at 3:00 PM
2. Neither the horse show committee nor
Hickory Run Farm nor its associates will
be responsible for any damage, injury or
loss to persons, horse/pony or property of
exhibitor or spectator incurred on or off
the horse show grounds.
3. The management reserves the right to
divide, combine, cancel or change the
order of classes when necessary.
4 Anyone or any horse suspended from the
USEF will not be permitted to show at an
Associated Horse Show.
5. Classes for Juniors will be limited to
riders who have not reached their 18th
birthday prior to December 1, 2015.
6. Trophy and six ribbons awarded in each
class, with 8 Championship Divisions. No
trophies awarded if less than 4 entries.
7. All riders must be wearing an ASTM
approved helmet while mounted.
8. The decision of the Judge and/or
Steward will be final.
9. No martingales permitted in under
saddle classes.
10. Schooling permitted until 7:45 A.M.
11. All fence heights are approximate.
12. The show is generally held despite
inclement weather, but will be cancelled in
case of extreme natural phenomena. Call if
in doubt.
13. For your own safety, schooling may be
regulated by the show management,
dependent upon entries.
14. Three in a division MUST run as a
division. A division with two entries may
run for lesser points or be combined with
appropriate division at show managers
discretion. Decision to be made before
division begins.

Class Descriptions
Preliminary Adult Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to Adult Amateur riders on
either ponies or horses. Fences
2’6”. Riders may no cross enter
into Modified Hunter or Long
Stirrup Divisions at the same show.
Pre-Children’s Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to horses and ponies ridden
by junior riders who have not won
three or more blue ribbons in
horsemanship over fences at any
rated show, except Mini Stirrup,
Short Stirrup and Beginner
Equitation. Judged on manners,
performance, way of going and
soundness. Ponies to jump 2’,
horses 2’6”.
Modified Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to all riders, on horses or
ponies, who have never shown at
2’6” or higher in any show. Fences
2’, May only cross enter into
Beginner, Long Stirrup, and Junior
Pleasure. Eligibility limited to one
year. May be divided if entries
warrant. Three must run as a
division, two may run for lesser
points or be combined.
Mini Stirrup Division
AHS Points
Open to riders 8 years and under.
Not eligible for any jumping
classes at the same show.
Beginner Equitation Division
AHS Points
Open to junior riders who have not
shown in more than 8 horse shows
in any one year. May only crossenter into Junior Modified Hunter.
Riders cannot have jumped higher
than 2’ in any horse show.
Children’s Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to horses and ponies ridden
by juniors. Judged on manners,
performance, way of going, and
suitability of mount to rider.
Small/medium ponies, fences 2’.
Large ponies, fences 2’6” and
horses, fences 3’. May not cross
enter into any Pre-Children’s
Hunter class or division on same
mount. A division with two (2)
entries may run for lesser point
Walk-Trot Division
AHS Points
Open to juniors and adult amateurs
on horses or ponies. Riders may
not cross enter into any cantering
or jumping class at this same show.
Baby Green Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to horses/ponies whom have
not shown over fences in any class
prior to December 1st of the
preceding year. Ponies to jump 2’
and horses 2’3. Trotting corners
will not be penalized.
Leadline
AHS Points
Open to children six (6) years of
age or under. To be judged on
manners and suitability of mount to
rider. Will be asked to trot. Not
eligible for any other non-leadline
classes. Show management may
offer additional leadline classes
such as walk, command, off-lead,
or pleasure. AHS points designated
to only the walk/trot class.
Long Stirrup Equitation Division
AHS Points
Open to adult amateur riders on
horses or ponies. Adults may not
have jumped higher than 2’6” at
any horse show. Riders are not
eligible for any jumping classes
other than Adult Modified Hunter.
Recommended classes: equitation
walk/trot; equitation
walk/trot/canter; and equitation
over four (4) cross rails. If
entries do not warrant division to
run, it may be combined with
Beginner
Equitation.
Short Stirrup Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to riders twelve (12) years of
age and under. Riders to jump a
simple course of eight (8) fences at
18". May only cross enter into
Short Stirrup Equitation and Junior
Pleasure at the same show
Short Stirrup Equitation Division
AHS Points
Open to children twelve (12) years and under who have not competed in any
show over fences exceeding 2’. Open to horses and ponies.
Lesson Mount Division
AHS Points
Open to riders on horses or ponies used solely in lesson programs. Judged on
hands, seat, general appearance and control. Riders may never have shown
higher than 2’3”. Any tack permitted.
Low Schooling Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to all riders on horses or ponies. Fences 2’ and 2’3”, at rider’s
discretion.
High Schooling Hunter Division
AHS Points
Open to all riders on horses or ponies. Fences 2’6” or 3’. Three in a division
must run as a division. Two may run for lesser points or be combined.
Low Schooling Jumper
AHS Points
Open to all riders on horses and ponies.
Courses must be run as Table IIa, Table IIb, Table IIc, or Table V
(OptimumTime). Jumps to be at 2’. Time allowed will be generous
(350m/min). (See USEF Rulebook for Table descriptions).
Intermediate Schooling Jumpers

Open to all riders on horses and ponies. Courses must be run as Table IIa,
Table IIb, Table IIc, or Table V
