CHILDREN’S HUNTER DIVISION
AHS Pts.
Open to horses & ponies ridden by juniors. Small & medium ponies
to jump 2’. Large ponies to jump 2’6”. Horses to jump 3’. May not
cross enter into any Pre-Children’s Hunter or Pre-Children’s
Equitation classes.In this division AHS Recorded Small & Medium
ponies are eligible for the 2’ Derby. AHS Recorded Large Ponies
and Horses ridden by AHS Recorded Juniors are eligible for the
2’6” Derby.
PRE-CHILDREN’S/ADULT HUNTER DIVISION
AHS Pts.
Open to Adult Amateurs & Junior riders on horses and ponies.
Riders may not cross enter into Modified Hunter or Long Stirrup at
the same show. Juniors must not have won 3 blues in equit.over
fences at any Recognized Show. Ponies 2’/Horses 2’6”/Adult’s 2’6”.
In this division AHS Recorded Ponies ridden by AHS Recorded
Juniors are eligible for the 2” Derby. AHS Recorded Horses ridden
by AHS Recorded Junior and Adult riders are eligible for the 2’6”
Derby
AHS 2’6” HUNTER DERBY WITH 2’9” OPTIONS
Open only to AHS members and recorded horses/ponies who have
competed in at least one other AHS Show this year at 2’6” or higher. Horse/Rider combination must enter a division at this show &
may not cross enter into any other of the Derbies. To run as a two
round class. The first round is judged as a Hunter Classic with an
emphasis on style, brilliance, and rideability. Only the top 8 competitors will be called back to ride the second round. Hunter Derbies are
technical in nature and may include rollbacks, trot fences, and long
gallops as well as option fences set at different heights and varying
approaches. For the Handy section, exhibitors will be asked to jump
out and back into the show ring.

Recorded Junior and Adult riders are eligible for the 2’ Derby.
BABY GREEN HUNTER DIVISION
AHS Pts.
Open to horses & ponies that have not shown over fences in any
class prior to the current show year. Ponies to jump 2’. Horses to
jump 2’3”. Trotting corners will not be penalized. In this division
AHS Recorded horses and ponies ridden by AHS Recorded Junior
and Adult riders are eligible for the 2’ Derby.
AHS 2’ HUNTER DERBY WITH 2’3” OPTIONS
Sames specs as the AHS 2’6” Derby except that both rounds will be
in the ring.

JUNIOR EQUITATION DIVISION
AHS Pts.
Open to riders aged 17 & under. To be judged on hands, seat, and
control of mount.May not cross enter into Pre-Children’s Hunter or
Pre-Children’s Equitation.Sm/Med ponies 2’3”, Large Ponies 2’6”,
Horses 2’9”. Sm/Med Ponies are eligible for the 2’ Derby. Large
Ponies & Horses are eligible for the 2’6” Derby. All riders must be
AHS Members.
OUTSIDE COURSE - 10:00 a.m.
OPEN HUNTER OVER FENCES
Open to adults & juniors on horses or ponies to be ridden on an
outside course over natural fences at a safe hunting pace. Fence
heights optional.
HUNTINGDON VALLEY HUNT HUNTERS
Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by MFH & Mrs. Richard B.
Harris. Open only to members and cappers of the Huntingdon
Valley Hunt. Fence heights optional.
HUNTER UNDER SADDLE
Open to horses & ponies ridden by adults or juniors to show under
saddle at a walk, trot, and canter.
HUNTER PAIRS
J.R. Arnold Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by the Mattern
family. Open to horses & ponies. To be ridden tandem, changing
position at a posted position on the course. Fence heights optional.
HUNT TEAMS
Open to horses/ponies, tandem over the first part of the course, and
abreast over the last two fences. Heights optional 2’ or 2’9”

GENERAL INFORMATION

Entries close Saturday, October 25th at 3:00
p.m.. POST ENTRIES $22.00 per class. The
AHS Derbies are free of charge and are only
open to AHS members and registered
horses/ponies that have competed previously
this season at least once in an AHS show.
Complete specs for all the Derbies will be posted on the AHS website and at ring side.
A Trophy and 6 ribbons will be awarded in each
class, with 20 Championship Divisions. Neck
sashes will be awarded to the top 8 places in
each Derby. Derby winners will receive a scrim
sheet & silver plate. Second place will also be
awarded a silver trophy.
Anyone or any horse suspended from the
USEF will not be permitted to exhibit in an AHS
show.
AHS registration must be paid in order for
points from this show to count towards year end
awards.
Riderʼs age is as of Dec. 1st of the current show
year.
The Horse Show Committee has the right to
cancel, combine, or vary the order of the classes.
3 exhibitors must be entered in order for full
points to count towards the AHS Year End
Awards. If there are 2 exhibitors, 1/2 points will
be given.

have jumped higher than 2’6” at any show. Not eligible for any
