What is Young Life?
Young Life is a world-class ministry for teenagers. Our staﬀ and volunteers enter the world
of kids, focusing on what matters to them —
fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of
signiﬁcance. In doing so, we earn the privilege
of talking to them about something we think
matters most of all — the truth about Jesus
Christ.
Young Life was founded in 1941 by a
pastor who wanted to spend time with
kids who were disinterested in church.
Young Life exists in 72 countries and is
supported by more than 18,000 volunteer
leaders, 11,000 local committee members,
and 3,200 staﬀ.
Young Life is non-denominational & is
funded and supported by churches, businesses, and individuals in the local community. Each area raises its own budget.
Young Life in Auburn-Opelika is eleven
years old and currently has over 120 volunteer leaders working in 8 local schools. YL
plans to begin 2 new ministries this year,
which is why we need your support in this
tournament.
