Make knot. Yeti Mouth: Bring in red yarn next to edge of chin strap. Sc 1 in first 2 sts; sp st (hdc 2 in same st), *sk 1, sp st in next*, cont until there are 11 red spikes. End with sc 1 in next 2 sts. Measurement from beginning to end of red mouth is 7 in./17.8 cm. Cut yarn, leaving a tail of 6”. Make knot. Thread yarn needle with red yarn and weave tails in to hide. Finishing: Thread yarn needle with white yarn on chin strap and whip stitch the loose end of the chin strap to the other side of the red mouth (left front). Weave in ends to hide. Thread yarn needle with black yarn and embroider eyes and nostrils, embroider each face detail separately, making a knot when beginning and ending each detail. Both nostrils can be made with the same piece of yarn. To reinforce and protect the wrong side from snagging, hand stitch a small piece of white felt over the nostrils on the inside of the hat.
