Glenn Corrie biography
Mr. Glenn Corrie is the CEO of Sino Gas & Energy Holdings, an Australian listed company focused on
exploring for and developing natural gas in China. The company’s assets are located in the Ordos Basin,
Shanxi province.
Mr. Corrie has over 20 years of senior executive experience in the international energy industry and
private equity sector. Prior to Sino, Mr. Corrie previously held the position of Commercial and Business
Development Director with Ophir Energy PLC, London-listed (FTSE250), African focused oil and gas
exploration company with a market capitalisation of approximately £1.3 billion. He was the senior
executive responsible for corporate development initiatives and executing the portfolio growth strategy.
Prior to joining Ophir, Mr. Corrie was a Director with Temasek Holdings Ltd in Singapore, responsible for
global energy investments. From 1998 to 2010, he held a variety of Senior Technical and Corporate
Development leadership positions within the Upstream Division of the Royal Dutch Shell Group,
including Strategy Manager for Shell Upstream International Asia.
Mr. Corrie began his career as a geophysicist with Woodside Petroleum. He has an honours degree in
Petroleum Geophysics and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a
Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
My Objectives:





As senior executive representing Australian business in China - Provide leadership, strategic
insight, challenge and support to the AustCham Beijing Board and Management team
Play ambassadorship role for Australian business in China through the positive promotion of bilateral investment and business co-operation
Bring and share a deep network of business, government, industry, PE and banking relationships
across Asia
Personally champion the build-out of the AustCham Energy working group
Provide support to the informal and social aspects of the AustCham community in Beijing and
greater China
