In order to support the
enhancement to the Florida
Child Passenger Safety Law
that became effective in
January, the Auto Club
Group Traffic Safety Foundation created a campaign
to educate caregivers
about the law’s new requirement. Now, all children
riding in a vehicle will need
to use a safety seat or a
booster seat until their 6th
birthday. More than 2,200
booster seats were distributed to eligible families.

AAA Congratulates its School Safety Patrollers of the Year
Launched in the early 1920s, the AAA School Safety Patrol Program™ is the largest traffic safety
program in the world. Currently, there are nearly 182,000 patrollers from approximately 7,000
elementary schools within the Auto Club Group footprint, all providing a safer environment for their
classmates traveling to and from school. The Patroller of the Year Awards recognize patrollers who
best exemplify leadership qualities and perform their duties effectively and responsibly. To qualify,
nominees must submit an essay describing their patroller experience and their Safety Patrol advisor
must do the same.
