Stitch to side head pieces over muzzle at stitching lines on pattern.Cut two 9” pieces of braid for reins fold end under and tack reins to center of bridle on each side head piece at large dot.Roll braid up and tape to side head piece to keep free when finishing puppet. 3.WRST stitch front to back at side seams from top of head to end of arm on top and underarm seams to bottom edge. 4.WRST sew hooves into end of each arm with pointed end at top of arm. 1.WRST sew ear to ear lining leave notched edge open Repeat with other ear and lining.Turn ears right side out and fold outside bottom edge to center of ears and baste. Place folded side down on right side of face front. Baste ears to head at side seam matching notches. 2.WRST sew center front seam from dot at center of head to bottom edge. 5. Mane: Cut 3 12” strips of felt 31/2” wide. Layer all three pieces of felt and stitch to one side of center back seam on the right side of the fabric.WRST stitch center back seam from dot at forehead to bottom back edge. Turn right side out.Fold body fabric away from mane and clip through all three layers of felt every 1/4” to form strands of mane. Be careful not to cut through back edge of puppet. 6. WIth seam ripper or sharp scissors make very small holes in both side of face front 1” from center seam and 3” down from center of ear. Insert shank of eye into face front and place disc on back to hold in place, repeat with other eye. 7. WRST sew lining around outside edges leaving bottom open. clip excess seam. Insert lining into puppets through bottom opening and push center pocket up into head and arms into arms. Smooth lining into arms and body. 8.In between body fabric and lining layers, stuff back and front of head fimly and front and hands to medium firmness. 9.
