The Artist
The Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas
Renowned artisan Mehrdad Tafreshi creates some of the
most unique, exquisite fountains in the world, handcrafted
from copper, bronze, and glass. The tree fountains
mesmerize the eye and soothe the senses, whether they are
4 ft. tall or 50 ft. high.
His sculptures have graced the lobbies and gardens of
fine homes and hotels around the world, including in
the United States, the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Most
buyers of these fountains have seen them only at the most
exclusive garden show in the world, The Chelsea Flower
Show in London. The organizers of the show always
give them pride of place, and he continues to unveil new
designs throughout the year.
Mehrdad works with his team at his workshop in Surrey,
England where every single element of the sculpture
fountains, including the leaves, is hand cut and handmade.
All sculptures are made to order and we welcome special
commissions.

Puck
Puck, the mischievous fairy! The bronze trunk sweeps down gracefully over the pond.

The Faerie Queen is an
enchanting and evocative tree.
The branches are slender and
crafted to allow the delicate
shower of rain drops to cascade
into the pool below.
One of the smaller trees, it is

Tristan
Hand cut copper grape leaves delicately adorn Tristan’s slender bronze
vine, adding whimsy and romance to any wall, fence, or arbor.

Bellagio
Slender bronze trunks, completely handcrafted, evoke days of yore.
The Bellagio’s leaves sparkle in the sunlight, reminiscent of autumn
when the forests turn to fire. When lit from beneath, it appears as a
midnight torch, welcoming festivities.

Diana
Diana is a tree with beautiful hand cut maple
shaped leaves in shimmering copper. The graceful
branches spread and reach upward allowing the
water to cascade more openly into the pool below,
creating a symphony of soft rain.

The Oasis is an elegant addition to any setting, whether in the garden, atrium, or courtyard. The delicately shaped
leaves, like all the Avalon fountain trees, are carefully cut by hand and welded to the branches.

The Tree of Dreams can be

stunning garden sculpture.
One of the larger trees to situate in a an open space or spacious indoor atrium, the Tree of Wisdom is truly a
centerpiece. As you gaze upon its beauty and listen to the rush of many drops of cascading water hitting the
pool below, one can’t help but to be mesmerized. The trunk is a vision of beauty and craftsmanship. Handmade
in bronze, it resembles the trunk of a very mature tree.

Lisa Christie Atkin (owner)
Lisa Atkin is the founder/owner of Home to
Garden LTD. in the United Kingdom from 2000 to
2013. Her company supplies QVC[UK] and retail
establishments all over the world. She was also sales
director, designer, and QVC television presenter for
the many products they brought to market. The
company flourished under her direction. Now,
having returned to the United States after living and
working abroad for 25 years, she found a niche in
the market for high end, unique water features and
fountains. She is passionate about bringing these
products to the United States.
About Avalon
Avalon Fountains is dedicated to bringing the
beautiful Tafreshi Tree Fountains to the North
American market. These fountains are hand cut and
crafted out of Bronze, Copper and Glass. One of a
kind art pieces, they have graced deluxe hotels such
as the Bellagio in Las Vegas, corporate offices, and
private residences around the world, as well as being
the centerpiece for the Chelsea Flower Show in
London over many years.
Monica Surrena (owner)
Monica Surrena is an accomplished filmmaker,
web designer, and entepreneur. Monica was born
in Pittsburgh and has worked in the creative arts
for over 10 years doing film, writing, and graphic
design. In 2010, she graduated with an MFA
from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in Film and
Television Production, and received a BA from
the University of Pittsburgh in Film, Literature and
Ancient Language. Since graduating from school,
she has been involved in various film productions
and has developed numerous film and television
projects that are now at various stages of
development. Whilst her creative career has been
nurtured Monica has also developed a successful
web design business dealing in all aspects of
entertainment and media as well as ran an online
clothing store.
