Antelope Valley Hospital Appoints Lynn M. Gomez, MBA, GPHR
as Chief Human Resources Officer
(LANCASTER, Calif. – April 13, 2015) – Antelope Valley Hospital has named Lynn M.
Gomez, MBA, GPHR, as chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective today.
Gomez previously served for five years as CHRO at San Gorgonio Memorial Veterans
Hospital in Banning, California. She was responsible for providing strategic direction
for the overall human resources operations of the California Region including
employee and labor relations, workforce management and employee relations. She
has 25 years of experience in human resources management in healthcare and the
manufacturing industries.
Gomez earned her Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in
human resources and organizational management from Alameda University, and a
Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Belford University in Dallas, Texas.
“Lynn has a breadth of experience in human resources management that will greatly
benefit Antelope Valley Hospital,” said Chief Executive Officer Dennis Knox on her
appointment. “In addition, her proficiency in performance improvement, including
Lean processes and patient experience enhancement, will be especially important
going forward for AVH.” As CHRO, Gomez will be responsible for overseeing all
facets of the hospital’s human resources operations, from staffing and benefits to
organizational development and succession planning.
