* Backing will require 4 ½ yards of any single 44/45” or 54” fabric (I used solid voile).
* Binding will require at least 9 yards of continuous binding (I used one 12 yd spool of precut binding).
* Regarding batting, I skipped using any batting at all for this quilt, but rather let the fannel and voile
together create a nice lightweight layer to be used as a throw on a bed or couch. I did hand quilt the
layers together using several colors from my pearl cotton collections (size #8) for Anchor.
Piecing Steps
Because the pieces for this quilt are described in dimension rather than cut from templates, please refer
to both the Quilt Piece Guide and the Quilt Map to cut the pieces for your quilt. Before beginning the
log cabin assembly you are to join corresponding (by letter) pieces together, end to end to create strips,
as follows (all seams are 1/4” and pressed open):

Sew H to H2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew I to I2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew J to J2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew K to K2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew L to L2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew M to M2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew N to N2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew O to O2 at their 6.5” edges
Sew P to P2 at their 6.5” edges
All of the above strips will now just be referred to by their letter.
