Dear Parents,
Thank you for attending the parent interviews. These are very important for arranging
the school and home to work together to do the best for your children. Teachers will
be contacting those who have not had an interview to arrange a meeting in Term 3.
Unfortunately we have two teachers sick today so the interviews for Room 2 and
Room 13 have had to be cancelled. Emails were sent home this morning to the email
address used in making the appointment. Both Dianne and Kendyll will be making
contact at the start of Term 3 to arrange other times.
We have just received our draft ERO report which will go on line soon. The report is
exceeding positive and contains statements like;
 The school has a very positive reporting history with ERO.
 The school motto, ‘be the best you can be’, is evident throughout the classrooms
and playground, and underpins relationships across the school.
 The school makes good use of student achievement information to make positive
changes to learners’ engagement, progress and achievement.
 The school’s curriculum effectively promotes and supports student learning.
 In classrooms observed by ERO students were highly engaged with the planned
activity and enthusiastic about their learning. Teachers use a wide range of
effective strategies to support student learning.
 The board is well informed and receives a wide range of achievement information
that is used effectively to make resourcing decisions.
If you are moving areas or schools please go to the ERO site and check out the
schools ERO report.
Remember if at any time you have a question or concern contact us.

New World and SPCA Visit
Rooms 8, 9 & 10 have been lucky enough to learn about nutrition and label reading
from a unit sponsored by New World. This included a visit to the supermarket, where
the children learnt how to make healthy food choices. As always, these trips are not
possible without the support of our parents, so a sincere thank you to those of you
who came along.
