pop of
petal
Plant a giant flower on your little pumpkin,
and you can bet your bottom dollar she’ll
feel as pretty as a rose. We chose white
lace, red ruffle ribbon and three sweet floral
prints to play up the design, sewn from New
Look Pattern #6219.
pinafore
adore
Daughter and dolly go everywhere hand-in-hand,
so it goes without saying, dolly’s gonna need a
dress of her own. They’ll both look like belles of the
cutie-patootie ball with duds sewn from Simplicity
Pattern #1793. Puffed-sleeve shirt: McCall’s #6530.
2
stop
and
bow
Go ahead and have a play day
with our made-to-go-together
fabrics—the secret to combining
prints is matching up the colors.
That’s just what we did for this
simple (but so lovely) bow
dress, sewn from Simplicity
Pattern #1475.
apron
aspect
When does an apron qualify
as an outfit? When it’s as
fabulous as this! We used
Simplicity Pattern #1954 to
make the pretty-as-a-picture
design. Modifications:
pleated fabric edge, fabric
straps instead of ribbon.
3
pick a
pillowcase
Little girls and pillowcase
dresses go together like
peanut butter and jelly—
a lot like our adorable fabrics
and Simplicity Pattern #2391.
Modification: fabric squares,
sewn to the bottom for a
handkerchief-style hem.
romper
wishes
Oh baby, we just hopped on
the cute train. This retro-style
romper (It’s a two-piece!)
features red and white fabrics
that were just made for a pair
of pretty baby blues. We used
Simplicity Pattern #1600,
modified with white eyelet lace.

smile
awhile
Every kid’s entitled to a little just-for-fun fashion. That means tons of
color, oodles of big-as-life prints and plenty of pompom trim.
Because for little ones, it’s all about wearing what
makes you smile. Skirt: Simplicity Pattern #6258.
Tie: Simplicity Pattern #4762.

zig zag
zip
Here’s a fashion double take: an outfit
for your little princess and another for
her sidekick, both in count-the-colors
zigzag stripes. Big girl dress and head
scarf: New Look Pattern #6578
Doll dress: Simplicity Pattern #1485,
modified to match.
ruffle
shuffle
Little cheeks and ruffled bottoms—they
were made to go together. We used
Simplicity Pattern #1600 (bottoms from the
two-piece romper set) to create this precious,
polka-dots-meet-Greek-keys design. Happy
crawling, gorgeous!
