This sweet combo (Simplicity Pattern #1793) comes with a complete mini-me pattern for your sweetheart’s favorite play pal. And since the big girl pattern features a flowy dress-and-pant set, she’ll be free to leap and twirl her way through the day. Superstar Spotted Dress your diva in this two-piece knockout, and it’s look out world! It’s our own funky fabric creation—thanks to McCall’s Pattern #6688. And it’s sweet. It’s sassy. It’s even pom-pom-adorned! (That’s right…check out that red and green trim.) All it needs is a pair of paparazzi-proof shades and a show-stopping smile to boot. Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations 3 Rosy Posey Our all-purpose trims—like the lace ruffles and pink rosettes pictured here—are the quicker spiffer-uppers for any outfit. Pink shorts: McCall’s Pattern #5419 and a double-sided bow, stitched on (we added trim to the tank using a hand-drawn heart pattern). Patchwork dress: McCall’s Pattern #6497. 4 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations Chic in Paris “Oui, oui,” she’ll say while sipping her tea… ’cause this Eiffel-esque fabric will give her an excuse to play dress-up any day. We used McCall’s Pattern #6686 and added some chiffon trim instead of ruffles—a great timesaver! Accent the outfit with a bow à la mode or headband like the one you see here. By pairing a bright paisley pattern with playful cheetah and then adding some ivory tulle trim, we’ve created our very own little ray of sunshine from Simplicity Pattern #1921. RUFFLEd Duff When your superstar tries this doubly darling dress-and-bloomer pair, she just might insist on wearing it to sleep…and to bath time…and in the winter, too. We made it with Simplicity Pattern #1921 and doubled up the ruffles on the sleeves and tushie. Tip: We used patchwork fabric for parts of the pattern and the tie. <— HelLo, Chevron! We’re so glad you’re back. And to celebrate, we’ve made some spunky summer shorts to pair with a chiffon-adorned tank from McCall’s Pattern #6642. 0H, Gee! <— Try an ogee-inspired tunic for a style that’s one part pop art, one part disco, and one part Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. To make it, we added ruffly chiffon trim to Simplicity Pattern #1704. 8 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations Mommy and Me <— Pinning Pretty Everyone knows that moms make the best playmates. These picnic-ready, houndstooth get-ups will show the world the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. For the girl’s dress, we used McCall’s Pattern #6389. And for the grown-up version, we used Simplicity Pattern #2447. For a brooch-fully beautiful touch, we created our own pins by cutting the blooms from our rosette trim, adhering them in a flower shape onto a small felt piece, and then gluing a pin back to the felt. Because there’s no reason you shouldn’t pair every fun and funky fabric in sight! 10 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations Hangin’ out!
