This unusual diagonal design will spark interest by everyone. Each
square is worked with two diagonal colors. Although the squares of
the sample were attached to form diagonal stripes, you can arrange
them to form different patterns.

Pattern:
For this pattern you will make a total of 36 basic
squares in the following color combinations:
Purple/pink: 11
Blue/purple: 9
Blue/green: 8
Green/yellow: 8
Fasten off.
Joining
Join squares together with a slip stitch according
to the below diagram.
Basic square
With color 1, ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring.
Round 1 – ch3, working into center of ring, 2dc, ch3,
*3dc, ch3, ** With color 2, rep from * to ** 2 times, sl st
to top of beginning ch3.
Round 2 – With color 1, ch3, 2dc into same corner ch3hole, ch1, 3dc into next ch3-hole, ch3, *3dc into same
ch3-hole, ch1, 3dc into next ch3-hole, ch3 **, with color
2, rep from * to ** 2 times, sl st to top of beginning ch3.
Round 3 – With color 1, ch3, 2dc into same corner ch3hole. ch1, 3dc into next ch1-hole, ch1, 3dc into next
ch3-hole, ch3, * 3dc into same ch3-hole, ch1, 3dc into
next ch1-hole, ch1, 3dc in next ch3-hole, ch3 ** With
color 2, rep from * to ** 2 times. Sl st to top of ch3.
Round 4 – With color 1, ch3, 2dc into same corner ch3hole. [ch1, 3dc into next ch1-hole] 2 tmes, ch1, 3dc
into next ch3-hole, ch3, * 3dc into same ch3-hole, [ch1,
3dc into next ch1-hole] two times, ch1, 3dc into next
ch3- hole, ch3 ** With color 2, rep from * to ** 2 times.
Sl st to top of ch3.
Round 5 – With color 1, ch3, 2dc into same corner ch3hole. [ch1, 3dc into next ch1-hole] 3times, ch1, 3dc
into next ch3-hole, ch3, *3dc into same ch3-hole [ch1,
3dc into next ch1-hole] 3 times ch1, 3dc in next ch3hole, ch3 ** With color 2, rep from * to ** 2 times. Sl st
to top of ch3.
Border
With yellow, join with sl st in one corner, ch3,
7dc in same hole. * 4dc in each hole (ch-1 and
ch-3 holes) along side of the blanket (34 times),
8dc in corner. Repeat from * twice 4dc in each
hole across last side of blanket. Sl st to top of
ch3.
To finish blanket, weave in ends.
