Size: Approx 2.5” in length
Materials:
-Worsted yarn in yellow and black and
your choice of colour for the wings ie.
white or blue.
-Size 3.50mm hook
-Needle for joining parts
-Fiberfill for stuffing
-Safety eyes – I’m using size 4mm
-Black embroidery thread and needle
Notes: Unless otherwise stated, this pattern
is worked in continuous rounds using stitch
markers to locate the beginning/end of a
round. Work in somewhat tight stitches.
Body – Version A
Starting with yellow yarn.
Round 1: start 6 sc in magic ring.
Or
Ch 2 and 6 sc in second ch from hook.
Round 2: inc in each st (12 sts)
Rounds 3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18 sts)
Rounds 4-7: sc in each st (18 sts)
Attach or embroider eyes and face detail.
Switch to black yarn.
Round 8: Sl st in each st.
Switch to yellow yarn.
Round 9: sc in each sc of previous round (pictured).
Switch to black yarn.
Round 10: Sl st in each st.
Switch to yellow yarn.
Rounds 11-12: sc in each sc of previous round.
Begin to stuff with fiberfill.
Round 13: [sc, dec] x 6 (12 sts)
Round 14: dec x 6 (6 sts)
Fasten off and use yarn needle to sew the opening shut.

Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec - decrease
BLO – back loop only
Sl st – slip stitch
Body – Version B
Starting with yellow yarn.
Round 1: start 6 sc in magic ring.
Or
Ch 2 and 6 sc in second ch from hook.
Round 2: inc in each st (12 sts)
Rounds 3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18 sts)
Rounds 4-5: sc in each st.
Switch to black yarn in last st.
Round 6: Sl st in BLO (pictured).
Switch to yellow yarn in last sl st.
Round 7: sc in BLO of each st.
Switch to black yarn in last st.
Round 8: Sl st in BLO.
Switch to yellow yarn in last sl st.
Rounds 9-10: sc in each st.
Round 11: [sc, dec] x 6 (12 sts)
Round 12: dec x 6 (6 sts)
Fasten off and use yarn needle to sew the opening shut.
Wings – Make 2
Ch 3, in 3rd ch from hook: hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc. Fasten off and pull yarn to tighten ch st. Leave long tail
to sew to body.
