BATH PUBLIC SCHOOL Vol. 2014-15 No. 09 May 2015 MAY 2015 NEWSLETTER Dear Parents and Guardians, Welcome to May! It is so great to see the sun and enjoy the opportunity for different outdoor activities. The fields, basketball court, and tarmac area are full of happy active children. Our School Advisory Council hosted another successful Family Games’ Night! Our Book Fair was a big hit too! Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support. Thank-you to the Limestone Learning Foundation and the Estate of Larry Gibson for the generous grant of $10 000 to Bath PS in support of the "Three String Jam" project. On April 16, 2015 Bath PS students and Ms. Baetz performed at the LLF presentation using some of the instruments that this grant will provide. Graeme Fraser, co-Executor of the Estate of Larry Gibson presented Ms. Baetz with a cheque that will be used to purchase Loog guitars, straps, tuners, and other equipment. Congratulations to Ms. Baetz whose hard work and creativity coordinating this project, has helped to bring exciting learning opportunities to the students of Bath Public School. We have been working hard on being an eco-friendly school. Litterless lunch day was a big success. We did a great job cleaning up our school yard and our community with our “Pitch In” day!
