This was the 10th year for this event and the third year Brooks DeBartolo has participated, according to Mrs. Williams, Business Manager at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School. The Tampa Bay Times reported that the charity event had over 6,500 participants and raised more than $650,000. This total is expected to rise with online donations, which will be accepted through June 30th. 100 percent of the donations and registration fees received directly support cancer research at Moffitt.
