This practical guide was created with you in mind and contains all the conditions and rules regarding access and traffic that are in force during the Show. We highly recommend using public transport in order to get to the Show. We have been committed to a Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) approach for many years and thereby provide a free shuttle service from 18 May to 26 June. However, if you have to come in your own private vehicle, please consider car pooling and using the car parks located just outside the Show. If you use a company vehicle (e.g. delivery, construction or service) or if you have a badge allowing you to enter the site with your private vehicle, this guide will provide you with all the information regarding accessing the Show by road. The general rules regarding access and traffic at the Show are also given, with specific sections for build-up/dismantling and for the Show itself. In addition, there will be signs and staff on site to help direct you. A FEW RULES Rules are in place regarding access, movement, transport and equipment storage on site. We recommend exhibitors and their service providers familiarise themselves with this guide and the Technical Guide so they are prepared for working on site. FROM 18 MAY TO 1 JUNE Normal and light traffic. ATTENTION FROM 2 TO 14 JUNE No vehicle or person will be allowed entry to the Show without the correct vehicle or pedestrian badge for that period issued by the Organiser. Disrupted traffic. As of 8 June, exit 4bis and entrance 5bis will be used at certain times during build-up for access via Gate L1. ATTENTION 1 NIGHT WORK IT IS FORBIDDEN TO HGVs weighing more than 3.5 tonnes are not permitted to use these exits. FROM 15 TO 21 JUNE To access Gate L1: use the exit 4bis. For the Chalets and Gate M: take the exit 5. Traffic in the Show’s surroundings May be highly disrupted during the General Public Days. You must comply with the rules and measures stated in the Safety Document. The ID may be a photocopy certified by the Central Command and Security Post (PCCG). Frequent checks will be made, with document reconciliations, frisk searches and bag searches. Notify the PCCG of any suspect or abandoned bags, equipment and parcels. Never accept a bag from another person. Notify us of any lost badges and equipment. Work at night after 7.00pm, except for security guards, cleaners, caterers and on-site technicians. However, justified exemptions may be granted. They must be requested 48 hours in advance. That person must produce ID and the order number. 5 ON-SITE DRIVING RULES We encourage all drivers to be extremely cautious on site and drive responsibly: give way to pedestrians, follow the French Road Code and traffic direction, keep to the 20km/h speed limit, park in the dedicated parking areas without hindering traffic and emergency exits, carry your driving licence. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your immediate, irrevocable exclusion from the site. ATTENTION - The Organiser reserves the right to impound all vehicles that fail to comply with parking rules. - The Organiser reserves the right to amend movement and parking rules without prior notice, depending on events. SET-UP / BREAK-DOWN All vehicles entering the site must be clearly identified with a correct vehicle badge. Exhibitor service provider utility vehicles (<3.5 tonnes) The company must prove the essential nature of the vehicle when requesting the badge. The transport of freight or people is not a valid reason. Or visit the Build-up Office at Gate L2. NOTE Heavy good’s vehicles (>= 3.5 tonnes) Golf cars rented during build-up cannot be used during the Show period unless an exemption is granted by the Organiser. These must be processed by the Handling Service at the Build-up Office, Gate L2. After obtaining a temporary badge for their delivery, they will be escorted to their destination by the Handling Service. Golf car access from the Service Providers’ Village is via Gate L6 (for Service Providers’ Village and Organiseraccredited golf cars). 3.3 Traffic and Parking Row of Chalets A FEW RULES The number and dimensions of your parking spaces depend on the number of Chalet modules ordered and the fittings added to the car park side of your area. If your parking area is reduced, the Chalet Vehicle badge will be replaced with a Limousine/Minibus badge. ATTENTION Use only your allocated parking spaces. Parking in traffic lanes or the parking spaces of a Chalet that is not yours is prohibited. SET-UP / BREAK-DOWN Static display and Halls Vehicle traffic here is prohibited from 8.30am to 6.00pm throughout the Show period, except for emergency and service vehicles (police, fire service, ambulance, pushback tractors, small train, etc.).
