“Jazz in Motion” The Beaches International Jazz Festival Sixth annual Juried Photography Exhibition Thurs July 23rd – Monday August 10th 2015 Deadline for submissions: Friday July 10th at 11:59 pm Please read the following carefully to ensure that your application and submission is complete. Incomplete applications/submissions will not be reviewed. Selection Criteria: A panel of independent jurors will review all applications. Before applying please note the following: • Three winners of the juried photography competition will receive prize packages donated by Above Ground Art Supplies as well backstage media passes for the duration of the 2015 International Beaches Jazz Festival. More prizes TBA soon! • Jury TBA • Winning artists will have their work displayed on the Beaches International Jazz Festival website. • The 1st place winner of the competition will be invited to be a juror in the competition for the follow years exhibition. • All entered photographs will be considered for posting on our flickr website http://www.flickr.com/photos/beachesjazz_jazzinmotion/ • It is advised that all artists add a watermark of their name to their photographs when submitting images to the contest to ensure they hold the copyright to their images. • Accepted artists are responsible for framing the accepted photographs for the gallery at 11x14 inches in size. The images may be either 8x10 inches and matted or 11x14 inches, sized to fit the frame. Artwork accepted into the exhibition must be delivered by the participant to the Beaches Above Ground Art Supplies store (1842 Queen St. E) on Saturday June 18 between 10am – 6pm or Sunday July 20 between 12pm – 5pm Support Materials: Your Application must include the following items: ü Completed application form ü 2-4 images of photographs that define the essence of jazz music, saved with your title of picture in the file name, no larger than 6 x 9 at 150 dpi, with a small copyright of your name on the photos ü A brief biography about yourself (150 word maximum) Submit Your Application: The deadline for application is Friday July 10 2015 at 11:59 pm.
