Outline:
BASS FROSH is an event that introduces incoming first-year undergraduate students to SFU
Beedie with the goal of easing their transition from high school to university. At BASS FROSH,
long-lasting relationships are formed between peers, student leaders and faculty members. As
Director of Volunteer Management, you will be responsible for the entire recruitment and
training process of the BASS FROSH Leaders. A core part of this position is to instill the BASS
FROSH spirit into the Leaders and maintain a high level of energy. The position reports to the
BASS FROSH Chair. The position term will be from March to October 2016.

Main Duties:








Develop a recruitment and interview strategy for the BASS FROSH Leader position
Coordinate all activities relating to hiring, selecting, and organizing BASS FROSH leaders
Work with BASS FROSH Chair to create a training strategy for BASS FROSH Leaders
Instill the BASS FROSH spirit into all FROSH Leaders throughout BASS FROSH
Create expectations and mandates for BASS FROSH Leaders, including a Leader package
detailing all event and training information
Collaborate with the Director of Logistics to create detailed itineraries for BASS FROSH
Leaders on all BASS FROSH days
Ensure that BASS FROSH Leaders are participating in all BASS FROSH activities
Ensure that BASS FROSH Leaders are engaging all FROSHees
Note: May need to perform tasks outside of position requirements and duties.
