In her latest album, Nostalgia, Lennox reveals yet another dimension to her formidable talent, Jazz. Sundays @ 9PM, Starting April 5 Thursday, April 9 @ 7PM Tony® Award-winning actor Mark Rylance (Twelfth Night) and Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winner Damian Lewis (Homeland) star in the six-hour television miniseries adapted from Hilary Mantel’s best-selling Booker Prize-winning novels: Wolf Hall and its sequel, Bring Up the Bodies. The television event presents an intimate and provocative portrait of Thomas Cromwell, the brilliant and enigmatic consigliere to King Henry VIII, as he maneuvers the corridors of power at the Tudor court. Filmed in front of a sell out audience at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, USA on Friday, August 2, 2013, Brit Floyd captures the magic and majesty of Pink Floyd's legendary music set against the aweinspiring natural rocks and Colorado landscape. Brit Floyd - The World's Greatest Pink Floyd Show, comes to the Wichita Orpheum Theatre Monday, June 8 with its Space & Time World Tour. Its their most ambitious show to date; with a spectacular new light show and an even bigger stage production! Tune in early for ticket opportunities as these will go fast! Starting Sunday, April 12 @ 6PM Actors Emily Blunt, Eddie Redmayne, Jennifer Aniston and Laura Dern Variety and PBS SoCaL take you inside the biggest Hollywood films of the past year through candid conversations with today’s hottest actors. Hosted by Variety’s Feature’s Editor Jenelle Riley, each episode brings together several actors engaging in intimate one-on-one discussions about their craft and work. Fridays @ 9PM AMERICA’S BALLROOM CHALLENGE Fridays @ 8PM Starting April 24 April 17 Children of GIANT In 1955, Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, James Dean and a massive crew descended on the Texas town of Marfa to begin production on Giant. Now, 60 years later, Children of Giant explores the film’s still timely examination of racial prejudice. April 24 Now En Espanol Explore the ups and downs of being a Latina actress in Hollywood through the lives of the five women who dub “Desperate Housewives" into Spanish for American audiences — and whose real lives are often as dramatic and desperate as those of their on screen counterparts. This three-part series, hosted by former U.S dance champions Mary Murphy and Tony Meredith, features all four major styles of competitive ballroom dancing: American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard and International Latin. In addition to 25 world-class couples competing to be named “America’s Best,” the series includes backstage footage of the couples preparing for competition. Monday, April 27 @ 8PM The question of who serves in America’s military has shaped battle strategy and foreign policy and stranded Americans in uniform for years on distant battlefields. From the Civil War to the conflicts of the Vietnam era, forced military service has torn the nation apart — and sometimes, as in WWII, united Americans in a common purpose. Hear how a single, controversial issue continues to define America. Dick Cavett's Vietnam Monday, April 27 @ 9PM On the 40th anniversary of the official end of the Vietnam War, this show examines the war and its impact on America through the prism of interviews conducted by the iconic host of “The Dick Cavett Show,” which featured thoughtful conversation and debate from all sides of the political spectrum. Tuesday, April 28 @ 7PM In May 1970, four students were shot dead at Kent State. The mayhem that followed has been called the most divisive moment in American history since the Civil War. From college campuses to the jungles of Cambodia, to the Nixon White House. THE DAY THE 60’S DIED April 29, 1975. Desperate South Vietnamese clamber aboard barges in the port of Saigon in an attempt to escape advancing North Vietnamese troops on the day of the Fall of Saigon, ending the Vietnam War. Taken from the roof of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon, the embassy compound is littered with trash as looters move in to take what they want. Sailors push a helicopter off a landing platform of the U.S.S. Kirk to clear room for more helicopters dropping off refugees. Tuesday, April 28 @ 8PM During the chaotic final days of the Vietnam War, as the North Vietnamese Army closed in on Saigon, the South Vietnamese resistance crumbled. The United States had only a skeleton crew of diplomats and military operatives still in the country. With a communist victory inevitable and the U.S. readying to withdraw, many Americans on the ground worried their South Vietnamese allies and friends faced imprisonment or death at the hands of the approaching North Vietnamese. With the clock ticking and the city under fire, a number of heroic Americans took matters into their own hands, engaging in unsanctioned and often makeshift operations in a desperate effort to save as many South Vietnamese as possible.
