Tissue Box (upright style) 4-1/2" x 4-3/4"
Watermelon Appliqué:
1- Appliqué H onto D (see placement diagram)
2- Appliqué G on top of H.
3- Appliqué I on top of G.
4- Using the placement diagram, appliqué all three
stars (J, K and L) as shown.
1- Sew two A's on the marked diagonal line, to
opposite corners of each D.
2- Trim seams, leaving 3" seam allowance. Press
toward A.
3- Sew the two A's, on the marked diagonal line, to
the remaining opposite corners of D. Repeat step
2.

NOTE: Please remember to add seam allowances to the templates if you will be turning under the edges of your
appliquè.
1- Trace the opening from the tissue box top (template E) to the wrong side of the fabric E.
2- Place both E's right sides together and stitch directly on the marked line.
3- Trim seam allowance and clip into the curves. Turn right side out and press so opening is flat and smooth (turn by pulling one side
through the tissue hole).
4- Using your favorite method of appliquè, appliquè the season you want (Winter, Valentine, Spring, Summer, Fall, or Christmas)to the
front of the A/D/F unit. Please see individual appliqué instructions for each season.
5- Sew F to the top edge of A/D and all three of the B's and press toward F.

front & B/F, side pieces, wrong sides together and fuse together following manufacturer's
instructions. Note: cut away the seam allowance to reduce bulk.

7- Sew the A/D/F/C unit to each side of the tissue box top (E), starting and stopping 1/4" away
from each end.

8- Sew sides together, right sides together, stopping 1/4" from top edges. Trim corners,
being careful not to clip stitching.

9- Zig-zag or serge bottom edge and turn under 3" and hem using a top
stitch or hand stitch in place.
10- Slip finished cover over an upright style tissue box.
