BJS ANNUAL MEETING & BYLAW VOTE TUESDAY JUNE 16 2015

BJS ANNUAL MEETING & BYLAW VOTE TUESDAY JUNE 16 2015
SYNAGOGUE ANNUAL MEETING:
Scheduled for June 16 at 7:00 pm in our building, the annual meeting will provide summary of religious activity , programs during the year and administrative issues that surfaced
and were resolved. Officers and Board members will be installed for the coming year. We
will also vote on the proposed bylaws changes.
BYLAWS- Time to Vote
By now you should have received a package in the mail requesting each family unit to review the proposed bylaw changes and vote, accept or reject, at the synagogue annual meeting Tuesday, June 16. A proxy vote, included in the package can be used to mail in by June
12 if meeting attendance is not possible. The bylaw changes, if approved would provide
latitude regarding future affiliation with United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism
(USCJ) and also adjust quorum requirements based on the present membership population.
Two- thirds of our present population must vote on this important issue. The proposed
changes have been endorsed by your Board of Directors. Please do your own review and
cast your "family unit"vote- in person or by proxy (return mail by June 12). .
