(A)Press 4-1½" Background squares in half on the diagonal
(or draw a line on the diagonal).
Lids:
2–3" x width of fabric strips

(B)Layer 2-1½" Background squares on the upper left and lower
right corner of 1-5" x 5" Jar square, right sides together. Sew on
the diagonal lines. Trim ¼" from the seam lines. Press to set the
seams then press to the corners to form triangles.

Border & Binding:
6–5" x width of fabric strips
sew the strips end to end
then cut 2–5" x 59" strips
2–5" x 57" strips
7–2½" x width of fabric strips (Binding)

1–3¾" x width of fabric strip
cut the strip into 6–3¾" x 6" rectangles
18–2½" x width of fabric strips
cut 6 strips into 39–2½" x 6" rectangles
sew the remaining 12 strips end to end
from this strip cut 2–2½" x 51" strips
2–2½" x 48" strips
6–2½" x 44" strips|
11–1½" x width of fabric strips
set aside 4 strips for strip piecing the Lids
cut 7 strips into 184–1½" x 1½" squares

(C)Layer 2-1½" Background squares on the other 2 corners of the
same square, right sides together. Sew on the diagonal lines.
Trim ¼" from the seam lines. Press to set the seams then press to
the corners to form triangles. Repeat to make 46 Pint Jars.

To make the Lids: Sew 2-1½" x WOF Background
and 1-3" x WOF Lid strip together as shown. Press
away from the Lid strip. Make 2 strip sets. Cut into
1½" wide units. Cut 46 Lids.

Assemble the quilt:
(A)Sew the 4-Row As, 3-Row Bs, and 6-2½" x 44" Background strips together as shown to make the quilt center.
Press away from the Jar rows.
(B)Add the 2-2½" x 51" Background strips to the sides of the quilt. Add the 2-2½" x 49" Background strips to the
top and bottom of the quilt.
(C)Add the 2-5" x 55" Border strips to the sides of the quilt. Add the 2-5" x 57" Border strips to the top and bottom
of the quilt.
(D)Sew the 7 Binding strips end to end. Layer, quilt and bind.
