Sewing the Quilt
Sew red and purple squares into a
large 4-Patch. This unit should
measure 17.5” square.
Sew Focus Fabric triangles onto
each side. This unit should measure
24.5” square.
Sew red and purple strips together
to make 4 of these units.
These units should measure 8.5” x
24.5”.
Sew one unit to each side of the
center medallion.
Sew 1 (one) green square to each
end of the remaining red/purple
units.

Sew these units to the top and
bottom of the center medallion
paying attention to the color
orientation.
This unit should measure 40.5”
square.
This is your “big block”.
Measure across the center of the
quilt and use this measurement to
cut your side borders. If your
center measures as it should you will
cut 2 strips---5.5” x 40.5”. Sew
these to the sides. The quilt should
now measure 50.5” x 40.5”.
Measure the quilt top to bottom
using the center for your guide. If
your quilt measures as it should you
will need 2 strips---10.5” x 50.5”.
(you will need to piece these). The
finished quilt should measure 50.5”
x 60.5”.
I hope you enjoy making this quilt. I’d love to see a picture of yours. ☺ There will
be more of these simple quilt patterns coming soon!
