Subject: Action Taken on the recommendations of the meeting to discuss the
Revised Guidelines of BGREI held under the chairmanship of Joint
secretary (Crops) on 13.02.2015 at 11.00 AM in Acharya J. C. Bose Hall,
Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi-regarding.

Sir,
Reference is invited to this Ministry's OM of even No. dated 7 th March,
2015 sending therewith a copy of the above minutes. As per the decisions taken in
the meeting, actions on the following issues were required to be taken by
CRRI/DAC:
1. CRRI may organise an awareness meeting in each state with state
officials, district officials and nominated scientists of BGREI before
commencement of kharif season to decide the modalities of Action
Plan for cluster demos. The fund for this purpose may be provided to
CRRI.
2. CRRI should organise interaction meeting with State/ district
officials/nodal scientists engaged under BGREI at Cuttack to discuss
various issues relating to BGREI and rice crop in general.
3. CRRI should nominate one scientist for each district in Eastern States.
Regarding points 1 & 2, action was to be taken by CRRI itself. You are,
therefore, requested to kindly intimate the action taken so far.
As regards point 3, a list of all districts of seven Eastern States (including
BGREI & NFSM) is enclosed to facilitate the nomination of one scientist from CRRI
for each district. You are, therefore, requested to kindly nominate one scientist for
each district and intimate the same to concerned State with copy to this Ministry.
