for Women Do we desire to be Godly women of faith? What is our goal in this life? Is it not to be like our God and our Saviour? In Scripture we have many examples of the lives of faithful men and women, but in the Psalms we see how faithful people wrestled with issues in their lives and came up with answers when they thought on God. Clearly in the Gospels, we see that Christ himself had the Psalms firmly implanted in his heart, to clarify his thinking and have a ready answer when challenged. So in the Psalms we can accompany the Lord in his wrestlings and feelings - learning from these how he, and those who wrote the Psalms; prayed, found answers and overcame issues arising in their lives. Our Father has given us this precious book as a counselor. And so Psalm 1 sends us down the right path in declaring: "Blessed is the man...his delight is in the law of the Lord." So our aim for the weekend is to delight ourselves in these songs of praise and seek to assimilate the Divine character. Please join us!
