2015 Clifton Springs CC - Junior Golf Program
Dear Parents and Junior Golfers,
Welcome to the 2015 Junior Golf Season! The Golf Staff is looking forward to an outstanding
and successful Junior Golf Program! This is my first year at Clifton Springs CC as the Head Golf
Professional, and I couldn’t be more excited to renew enthusiasm to the Junior Golf Program. My past
experiences at other facilities as the Junior Golf Coordinator has allowed me to infuse new ideas and fun
into golf for juniors. Many of you may know Andrew VanNostrand from last year as the Junior Golf
Coordinator. He is back as the Assistant Golf Professional at Clifton Springs CC, and is a fantastic
instructor! Andrew and I will be the main instructors during the season. We will focus on promoting the
game through always having fun and offering as much personal attention as possible. While covering all
aspects of the game, our Junior Golf Program will offer instruction combined with the importance of
course etiquette and learning the rules! Most of all we will have FUN!!!
This Junior Packet contains all of the information for our season. Please do not hesitate to call any
member of the Golf Professional Staff with any questions. We are going to host one Advanced Camp and
three Fun Golf Camps. Our Advanced Camp is a two-day event running from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and
will be the perfect opportunity to get your game in shape for high school golf season! This Camp is not
age restrictive; however it is geared toward the more advanced golfer. Our Fun Golf Camps will be threeday events, and will be held from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Please refer to the schedule on the next page for
all of our camp dates. The Fun Golf Camps will be a combination of games, contests and skill
development. All of our camps will be $85 per junior. Please remember that all camps are open to the
public, so invite your friends!
In addition to our Junior Golf Camps, Andrew and I will host Thursday morning Clinics from 8:00
am - 9:00 am for all of our Junior Golf Program members throughout the summer. After each clinic our
juniors are encouraged to play either the main golf course (at the discretion of the golf staff) or our Little
Course. Along with our camps and clinics, we will host four Junior Tournaments! The tournaments will
be for juniors of all abilities and will include 4-hole, 9-hole and 18-hole divisions. All of these dates and
times are on the following pages.
In order to register for the 2015 Junior Program (not including camps), please fill out the enclosed
registration form and return it to the golf shop by June 22nd. Please remember that the Junior Golf
Program is open to all Clifton Springs Country Club members, including our Social Members and Junior
Members! The cost of the Junior Program is $50 per junior which covers all of the expenses associated
with the Clinics and Junior Tournaments (tee gifts, instruction, materials, trophies, prizes and weekly
refreshments).

Junior Clinics
Entry fee included in the Jr. Golf Program
All clinics will be held on Thursday mornings. Instruction will begin promptly at the designated times.
The Clinics will be held from 8:00 am – 9:00 am for all junior golfers. Juniors are encouraged to play golf
following the clinic, either on the main course (at the discretion of the golf staff) or the Little Course.

Junior Tournaments
Entry fee included in the Jr. Golf Program
All Junior Tournaments will be held on Friday mornings. We will meet outside of the golf shop at 7:30
am and begin playing at 7:45 am. There are divisions for 18 Holes, 9 Holes, and 4 Holes. Each
division will be separate for girls and boys. We definitely appreciate all parents that are able to watch and
help keep score for our younger juniors!

**All Juniors must be registered in the golf shop by 5:00 pm on Thursday before the event to play
on Friday!
Junior Championship
Entry fee included in the Jr. Golf Program
The Junior Club Championship will be held on Friday, August 28th in the morning and is open to all
junior members of Clifton Springs CC. There will be an 18 hole division, 9 hole division as well as a 4
hole division. All players must sign up in the golf shop by 5:00 pm on Monday, August 24th to be
eligible to play. Please call the golf shop on Thursday, August 27th after 5:00 pm to get their tee
time. The fee for this event is $20 per junior, unless you are signed up for the Junior Golf Program, in
which case the entry fee is included. There will be a pizza party and awards following golf around 12:00
pm.
Who will be this year’s Champions?
Junior Guest Day
Entry fee IS NOT included in the Jr. Golf Program
The Junior Guest Day will be a 10:00 am shotgun on Monday, August 17th. There will be an 18 Hole
division, 9 Hole division, and a 4 Hole division for both girls and boys. The format for the day is a two
person best ball with handicaps being determined using the Callaway Scoring System. Juniors may
invite one guest to play with them and must be signed up in the golf shop by 5:00 pm on Sunday,
August 16th. There will be no guest fees associated with this event! $15 per player will goes towards
prizes and lunch following play.
Junior Golf Camps
Entry fee IS NOT included in the Jr. Golf Program
Our Junior Camps will cover all aspects of the game, while including a lot fun and contests. Please notice
that our Advanced Camp is geared towards our intermediate and advanced players who are
looking to work on specific skill development. These golfers generally will be middle school and
high school players, looking to prep for the upcoming season. Our Fun Golf Camps are geared
towards our beginning golfers, who are looking to learn about golf in a fun filled atmosphere.
Please call or stop by the golf shop to register. Each camp will cost $85 per junior.
*All Junior Camp participants are also encouraged to use the swimming pool at the conclusion of
the day at no extra charge (including non-members).

Private Junior Instruction
Please check with a member of the Golf Professional Staff on the availability for both private and group
instruction for your Junior Golfers outside of our scheduled clinics and camps. We look forward to
spending as much time as possible with your Junior Golfers to help them improve!

Check in the Golf Shop for all of the Rochester District Tournaments, the WNYPGA Junior Tour and
National Junior Events hosted by the U.S.G.A and AJGA. They can also be found online at

Junior Apparel and Equipment
Please stop in the Golf Shop to check out all of our Junior Apparel and Equipment. We will have
your juniors looking their best with the newest styles and latest gear! All of us on the Golf Professional
Staff are certified Junior Club Fitters and we will make sure your junior’s equipment is the best fit for
them!
