Also to Paul for gaining the trophy for BEST TOURER Tintern Village Fete Black Mountains HOG have been invited to the Tintern Summer Fete. This year it is being held on Saturday, 4th July from 12 noon until late in the evening and because of the date it will have an American theme. The fete is taking place on Leyton's field, a large area used for cricket opposite Tintern Abbey and adjacent to the main road (A466) between Chepstow and Monmouth. The Tintern Village Fete committee feels that the site is possibly the most attractive in Monmouthshire and is a natural venue to display vintage/classic vehicles, being opposite the world renowned Abbey, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the route of the popular and picturesque Wye Valley run. This would be an attractive ride out for the Chapter Last year they had over 25 vintage cars attend from the South Wales area.. As a consequence and in particular because of the American theme Tintern Village Fete would like to invite our club and members to send some Harley's for display. They are also planning to have a few individual Harley's attending as well as some American cars. There is plenty of space on the field which has a stable foundation and the area's for the vehicles would be safe and secure. 4th July 2015 The details of the fete are still being worked on but the Tintern Village Fete Committee are planning for a full days programme and expect a large attendance from the local community and the many visitors to the Abbey and the general countryside. Most of the live music events have already been booked including Lee McCrory (country rock) and in the evening "Western Union", an American style fiddle band. Also booked is a North American native pioneer show complete with tepee's. There are ample toilet facilities and refreshments will be obtainable from the Anchor pub (including a comprehensive menu), the Village Hall, the Filling Station café, Emma's Pigs (burgers and dogs) and various stalls on the day. Anyone interested in going please contact John S Watson Safety Officer/RC will be leading BMC Ride to the event. Leaving approx 8-9 am from the dealership.
