your crochet projects? This beaded ribbon
necklace is one of 11 tantalizing designs

possibilities are endless. Have fun!
Ribbon Flower Necklace is from the Leisure Arts publication, Teach Yourself Crochet Ribbon
Accents (#4456). In this book, Lisa Gentry also shares 10 additional ways to have fun adding
beautiful ribbon accents to your crocheted fashions: a mesh hat with flower edging; a scarf
that is a lattice of flowers; a pillow with stripes of ribbon ruffles; a purse accented with
loopy ribbon ruffles; a blanket of square motifs with ruffled ribbon borders; a lacy openwork
triangular shawl with allover ribbon flowers; a bolero with ruffled ribbon edging; a child’s
sleeveless dress with ribbon ruffles; a lacy shell with a yoke of ribbon flowers; and a longsleeved wrap sweater with ribbon flowers along the front opening. You’ll learn how to work
with ribbon yarns as well as woven ribbons of all kinds. Ask for Teach Yourself Crochet Ribbon

on the hook about 13/4" (4.5 cm) from the tip (near
the center of the finger hold). Using this as a guide,
insert the hook through the center of the ribbon at this
length (Figs. 1a & b).

Thread tapestry needle with thread still attached to the
ball and string all beads onto the thread. Push beads
down close to the ball until they are needed.
To ease in stringing the beads, thread a tapestry needle
with the cut ends of a doubled length of sewing thread,
leaving a loop at the opposite end. Slip the end of
crochet thread through the loop. Slip the beads onto
the needle and crochet thread (Fig. 3).
