Blaine Lake Newsletter June 2015 Issue 15-6 Town Council Meetings The regular monthly meeting of the Town Council will be on Monday June 15th. 2015 and Monday July 20th, 2015 at 8:00 am in Council Chambers. A reminder that all Council Meetings are open to the Public. Any non-profit organization that has a community event they would like included in the Town’s monthly newsletter or on the website should contact the Town office by not later than the 27th of the month. We will try and include your event! FULL-TIME SUMMER STUDENT EMLOYMENT POSITION TOWN OFFICE CLOSURE DAYS IN JUNE The Town Office will be closed from Wednesday June 3rd to Friday June 5th and again on July 1st for Canada Day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The BLCA and the Town of Blaine Lake invite applications for a summer student position. Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 16 years old & have attended school in 2014-15 and must be returning to either High School or to a post-secondary institution in the fall. A Driver’s License is an asset. Dates & Salary: This position will pay $12.00/hour – 35 hours per week under the Student Summer Works Program. The start date is July 2, 2015 & end date is August 28, 2015. The only thing that can be burnt in the fire pit is seasoned wood or charcoal. Fires must be supervised, properly ventilated, and the smoke from the fire must not interfere with another person’s use and enjoyment of their property.
