Another month, another newsletter, and another report showing that the UK job market is
powering ahead. This one’s from the REC. It says that seven in ten organisations expect to
hire new employees in the next three months, and that 77% will have increased their overall
headcount by the end of 2015. Yet another employment report – this one on the professional
services community - paints the UK in general and London in particular in optimistic hues.
There are more than a quarter of a million employed in accountancy and consultancy firms in
London, the highest ever. Optimism amongst our professional services clients is reflected in
the steady stream of new opportunities being offered to us, and new clients coming on board.
Public sector-related roles continue to increase, although financial services is flat.

