CALL TO WORSHIP (Sherrie Boyens-Dobbs) Leader: Lord, we’ve come this morning seeking your presence, but it’s hard to settle in when so many things cloud our minds. Even in Your House, it’s hard to pay attention. We are here trusting that you will get our attention, through some song sung, some witness raised, some scripture unfolded, some gesture offered. People: Come, Lord Jesus, lift us up by your Holy Spirit as we worship God. Amen. *I Will Call Upon the Lord I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. So shall I be saved from my enemies. I will call upon the Lord. (Repeat) The Lord liveth, and blessed be the Rock; And let the God of my salvation be exalted. SCRIPTURE READINGS SERMON Acts 3:11-19 Psalm 4 “Being Still” Rev. Cynthia Burse *Jesus, Stand Among Us / When I Survey the Wondrous Cross Jesus, stand among us in your risen power; Let this time of worship be a hallowed hour. Breathe the Holy Spirit into every heart; Bid the fears and sorrow from each soul depart. See, from his head, his hands, his feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down. Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown? Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all. Jesus, stand among us in your risen power; Let this time of worship be a hallowed hour. Breathe the Holy Spirit into every heart; Bid the fears and sorrow from each soul depart.
