East: Extension from Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield (Fully Elevated) - 15.50 kms, 14 Stations.
West: Extension from Mysore Road Junction of Ring Road to Kengeri on the West (Fully Elevated) - 6.5 kms, 5 Stations.
North: Extension from Nagasandra to Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC-Fully Elevated) - 3.8 kms, 3 Stations.

REACH WISE PROGRESS OF WORKS
Reach — 2 (Magadi Road to Mysore Road Terminal)-West Corridor (6.4Kms)
Viaduct :- All viaduct including Track and Third Rail fixing works are completed.
Stations
Train Testing on Reach-2 has commenced from 27.03.2015 (i.e. from Magadi Road to Mysore Road
Station) on the East West Corridor
Mysore Road :- The finishing works like ACP / Glazing works are nearing completion. Overall 98% of civil work
is completed. Trial Run has started from Magadi Road to Mysore Road Stations.
Magadi Road :- Finishing works like ACP Glazing and Fire fighting works etc are nearing completion. Overall
98% of civil work is completed.
Deepanjalinagar :- Finishing works like granite flooring, ACP Glazing & E&M works are nearing completion.
Overall 98% of civil work is completed.
Tollgate :- Finishing works like ACP Glazing, Fire fighting and E&M works are nearing completion. Overall 98%
of civil work is completed.
Hosahalli :- Finishing works like ACP Glazing, Fire fighting and E&M works are nearing completion. Overall
98% of civil work is completed.
Vijayanagar :- Finishing works like ACP Glazing, Fire fighting and E&M works are nearing completion. Overall
96% of civil work is completed.
Reach—3b (Jalahalli to Nagasandra Station)-Second N-S Corridor Extension (2.5Kms)
Viaduct :- All Civil Works are completed.
Stations :- All works are completed in all the three stations (i.e. Jalahalli, Dasarahalli & Nagasandra). Minor works
like site development etc are in progress and nearing completion. The overall completion progress at all the three
stations are 99%.
Inspections were conducted in all the three stations by the various Nodal Departments

Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services Department during the month of February, 2015 had conducted
inspection in all the three stations and the Fire Clearance Certificates were issued.

Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) has conducted inspection on 02.04.2015 for all the three
stations and Peenya Depot and the Authorization Certificate for the Commercial Operations was issued on
08.04.2015.
Reach- 4 (Krishna Rajendra Market - Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road)-South Corridor (4.10Kms)
Viaduct :- All Civil Works are completed.
Stations :- 99% of work is completed in K R Road, Lalbagh and South End Circle. 91% of work is completed in
Jayanagar, 89% of work is completed in R V Road Station. Overall progress completed is 95% at all the stations.
Reach – 4a (Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road - Puttenahalli Cross)-South Extension Corridor (3.90Kms)
Viaduct: - All viaduct works are completed.
Stations:- At Bhanashankari 88% of work, Jaya Prakash Nagar 92% of work and at Puttenahalli Cross 93% of
works are completed. Overall work progress at all stations together is 91%.

UNDER GROUND SECTION : East—West Corridor (4.8Kms)
Contract has been awarded to M/s CEC–Soma -CICI JV for Tunnels and Four Stations with Ramps
Cubbon Park Station (Minsk Square) :- Basic civil work for the station is completed. Entry Exit Structures up to
Ground Level are completed expect one at North-West side. Above ground structures for Entry Exit structures on
South-West, South-East & North-East are completed. Works of various systems like ECS,TVS, E&M, Traction and
Track are being carried out. Architectural finishing works are in progress. Works of restoration of road above is in
progress. Escalators have been installed from concourse to Platform Level, Traction Equipments have been
lowered, AHUs, Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant and Tunnel ventilation systems are being installed. Track linking for
West Bound Track completed.
Vidhana Soudha Station :- Basic civil work for the station is completed. Entry Exit Structures up to Ground Level
are completed expect one at North-West side. Above ground structures for Entry Exit structures are being
provided. Roof slab for South-West Entry Exit structure completed. Works of various systems like ECS,TVS, E&M,
Traction and Track are being carried out. Architectural finishing works are in progress. Works of restoration of road
above is in progress. All the three Escalators from concourse to Platform and one Escalator from Ground to
concourse have been installed. Traction Equipments have been lowered, AHUs, Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant and
Tunnel ventilation systems are being installed.
Sir M Visvesvaraya Station (Central College) :-
Basic civil work for the station is completed. Entry Exit
Structures up to Ground Level are completed. Above ground structures for Entry Exit structures are being
provided. Civil works for Entry Structure (above ground) is completed for the North-East & South-East entry
structures. Works of various systems like ECS,TVS, E&M, Traction and Track are being carried out. Architectural
finishing works are in progress. Escalators have been Installed from concourse to Platform Level, Traction
Equipments have been lowered, AHUs, Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant & Tunnel ventilation systems are being
installed.
Bangalore City Station :- Roof Slab work is completed. Civil works of all the four Entry-Exit structures up to
Ground Level have been completed. Structures for Entry Exit are being provided above the ground level.
Architectural finishing works are in progress . Works of various systems are in progress. D G Set, Chillar Plant, Air
Handling Unit (AHU) and Cooling Tower etc have been procured and are being installed in the stations. Traction
Equipments have been lowered. Escalators from Platform to concourse levels have been lowered. Escalators from
Ground to Concourse are being installed.
Tunnelling in UG West Ramp :- All the civil works are completed.
REACH WISE PROGRESS OF WORKS
UNDER GROUND SECTION : NORTH—SOUTH CORRIDOR (4.0Kms)
Contract has been awarded to M/s Coastal-TTS JV for Tunnels and Two Stations with Ramps

Tunnelling from South Ramp to Majestic :- Krishna (TBM) tunnelling the Southbound Tunnel from City
Market to Chickpet Station has completed 352.5 m of tunnelling. Kaveri TBM started tunnelling between
Chickpet & Majestic Station, 57 m of tunnelling completed out of 747 m.

Tunnelling from North Ramp to Majestic :- Construction of vertical shaft to repair the damaged Cutterhead
of SELI TBM (Godavari) is in progress. Margarita TBM Tunnelling Southbound Tunnel has completed 654 m of
tunnelling between Majestic and North Ramp.

Chickpet Station :- Base slab of 4279 sqm completed out of 4490 sqm. Side wall (Base slab to Concourse
slab) of 3273 cum is completed out of 4189 cum. Concourse slab of 3752 Sqm completed out of 8417 Sqm.
Sidewall (Concourse to Roof) of 2242 m³ out of 4155 m³. Roof Slab, 3508 Sqm completed out of 8939 Sqm.

City Market Station :- Side wall (Base Slab to Concourse Slab) of 4853 cum is completed out of 5820 cum.
Concourse slab of 3916 sqm completed out of 7442 sqm. Sidewall (Concourse to Roof) of 1461 cum
completed out of 3953 cum. Roof slab of 2473 Sqm completed out of 7389 Sqm.
Progress of works at Chickpet Underground Station
UNDER GROUND MAJESTIC INTER CHANGE STATION
Contract has been awarded to M/s GYT—Coastal (JV) for the construction of the Interchange Station
Base Slab of 12717 cum completed in North-South Corridor. Walls & Columns concreting of 15914 cum
completed out of 20777 cum. East-West concourse slab for all the 6596 cum completed . East-West Roof Slab of
2943 cum completed out of 5959 cum. Link line concreting of 4332 cum completed out of 4599 cum. Other works
like mid landing slab, vent shaft etc of 3022 cum completed out of 7650 cum.
DETAILS OF LAND AND PROPERTY ACQUISITION OF GOVERNMENT & PRIVATE PROPERTIES
PHASE - I

All the properties for Phase-I have been acquired, except two properties which are required for City Market
Under Ground Station. The acquisition of these two properties is stayed by the Hon’ble High Court of
Karnataka.
PHASE-II

Preliminary Notifications under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act, 1966 have been issued for acquisition for lands for
the extensions from Baiyappanahalli to Mahadevapura Station in respect of Reach-1, from Puttenahalli Cross
to Krishnaleela Park Station (ISKCON) in respect of Reach-4 and from R.V. Road to Silk Board Junction in
respect of Reach-5 (New Line). Similarly, notification under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act in respect of
Jnanabharathi Station of Reach-2 and from Krishnaleela Park to Anjanapura Township of Reach-4 have been
published in the gazette dated 15.01.2015. JMC is under progress in Reach-2 (Extn) and Reach-4b.

Draft notifications under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act, 1966 in respect of Mahadevapura Station to Satya Sai
Hospital station of Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield Extension and from Nagasandra Station to BIEC have been
sent to KIADB.

Final notification under section 28(4) of KIAD Act, 1966 in respect of Nayandahalli to Kengeri has been
approved by the Government and published in the gazette dated 15.01.2015. Joint Measurement of the
lands from Baiyappanahalli to Mahadevapura Station is completed.

Revised land plans in respect of Reach-5 line from R.V. Road Terminal to Bommasandra have been received
and are being processed further. Land plans elevated portion and Depot entry line in respect of GottigereIIMB-Nagawara have also been received and are being processed for submission of notification under
section 28(1) of KIAD Act, 1966.

JMC is completed in Reach-1 Extension. Sketches are under verification.
REACH WISE TRACK PROGRESS
Reach 2 :- Concrete Plinth of 13,425 Track Meters completed. Third Rail of 13,758 Track Meters completed.
13,425 Track Meters of Rail placing and tightening work is completed.
Reach 4 & 4a :- Third Rail installation work completed in Reach-4 is 8,690 Track Meters out of 9,134 Track
Meters i.e. 95% of work is completed. Third Rail installation work completed in Reach-4a is 7,236 Track Meters
out of 7,500 Track Meters i.e. 96% of work is completed.
Under Ground (East-West Corridor) :- Welding of Rails-Flash Butt Welding of 1,087 Nos completed. First stage
concreting works of 604 cum completed out of 644 cum. Casting of Plinth of 5,395 Track Meters is completed out
of 9,000 Track Meters.
