REACH WISE PROGRESS OF WORKS
Reach — 2 (Magadi Road to Mysuru Road Terminal)-West Corridor (6.4Kms)
Viaduct :- All viaduct including Track and Third Rail fixing works are completed.
Stations
Mysuru Road :- Finishing works like ACP / Glazing works are completed. All the Civil and E&M works are
completed and also Fire clearance inspection is completed. Trial Runs are going on from Magadi Road to Mysore
Road Stations.
Magadi Road :- Finishing works like ACP / Glazing works are nearing completion. All the Civil and E&M works
are completed and ready for Fire clearance inspection.
Deepanjalinagar :- Finishing works like granite flooring, ACP Glazing & E&M works are nearing completion.
Overall 99% of civil work is completed.
Tollgate :- Finishing works like ACP / Glazing works are nearing completion. All the Civil and E&M works are
completed and ready for Fire clearance inspection.
Hosahalli :- Civil and E & M works are almost nearing completion.
Vijayanagar :- Finishing works like ACP Glazing, Fire fighting and E&M works are nearing completion. Overall
98% of civil work is completed.
Reach- 4 (Krishna Rajendra Market - Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road)-South Corridor (4.10Kms)
Viaduct :- All Civil Works are completed.
Stations :- 99% of work is completed in K R Road, Lalbagh and South End Circle. 93% of work is completed in
Jayanagar, 91% of work is completed in R V Road Station. Overall progress completed is 96% at all the stations.
Reach – 4a (Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road - Puttenahalli Cross)-South Extension Corridor (3.90Kms)
Viaduct: - All viaduct works are completed.
Stations:- At Bhanashankari 90% of work, Jaya Prakash Nagar 93% of work and at Puttenahalli Cross 93% of
works are completed. Overall work progress at all stations together is 91%.
REACH WISE PROGRESS OF WORKS
UNDER GROUND SECTION : East—West Corridor (4.8Kms)
Civil works has been awarded to M/s CEC–Soma -CICI JV for Tunnels and Four Stations with Ramps
Cubbon Park Station (Minsk Square) :- Basic civil work for the station is completed. Entry Exit Structures up to
Ground Level are completed expect one at North-West side. Above ground structures for Entry Exit structures on
South-West, South-East & North-East are completed. Works of various systems like ECS,TVS, E&M, Traction and
Track are being carried out. Architectural finishing works are in progress. Works of restoration of road above is in
progress. Escalators are being installed from ground to Concourse Level, Traction Equipments have been
lowered, AHUs, Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant and Tunnel ventilation systems are being installed. Track linking for
West Bound Track completed, more than 70% of Track work in East bound track is completed. Third Rail has been
installed for West Bound Track.
Vidhana Soudha Station :- Basic civil work for
the station is completed. Entry Exit Structures up
to Ground Level are completed expect one at
North-West side. Above ground structures for
Entry Exit structures are being provided. Roof
slab for South-West and South-East Entry Exit
structures completed. Works of various systems
like ECS,TVS, E&M, Traction and Track are
being carried out. Architectural finishing works
are in progress. Works of restoration of road
above is in progress. All the three Escalators
from concourse to Platform and two Escalator
from Ground to concourse have been installed.
Traction Equipments have been lowered, AHUs,
Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant and
Tunnel
ventilation systems are being installed.
Restoration of B R Ambedkar Road above Vidhana Soudha UG Station
Sir M Visvesvaraya Station (Central College) :- Basic civil work for the station is completed. Entry Exit
Structures up to Ground Level are completed. Civil works for Entry Structure (above ground) is completed for the
North-East, South-East and South-West entry structures. Works of various systems like ECS,TVS, E&M, Traction
and Track are being carried out. Architectural finishing works are in progress. Escalators have been Installed from
concourse to Platform Level, Traction Equipments have been lowered, AHUs, Cooling Tower, Chillar Plant &
Tunnel ventilation systems are being installed.
Bangalore City Station :- Roof Slab work is completed. Civil works of all the four Entry-Exit structures up to
Ground Level have been completed. Civil works for above ground structures in South-East, South-West and NorthEast structures are completed. Architectural finishing works are in progress . Works of various systems are in
progress. D G Set, Chillar Plant, Air Handling Unit (AHU) and Cooling Tower etc have been procured and are
being installed in the stations. Traction Equipments have been lowered. Escalators from Platform to concourse as
well as Ground to Concourse levels have been lowered. Escalators from Ground to Concourse are being installed.
Tunnelling in UG West Ramp :- All the civil works are completed.
REACH WISE PROGRESS OF WORKS
UNDER GROUND SECTION : NORTH—SOUTH CORRIDOR (4.0Kms)
Contract has been awarded to M/s Coastal-TTS JV for Tunnels and Two Stations with Ramps

Tunnelling from South Ramp to Majestic :- Krishna (TBM) tunnelling the Southbound Tunnel from City
Market to Chickpet Station has completed 378 m of tunnelling. Kaveri TBM tunnelling the Southbound
between Chickpet & Majestic Station has completed 229.50 m of tunnelling out of 747 m.

Tunnelling from North Ramp to Majestic :- Construction of vertical shaft to repair the damaged Cutterhead
of SELI TBM (Godavari) is in progress. Margarita TBM Tunnelling Southbound Tunnel has completed 747 m of
tunnelling between Majestic and North Ramp.

Chickpet Station :- Base slab of 4279 sqm completed out of 4490 sqm. Side wall (Base slab to Concourse
slab) of 3273 cum is completed out of 4189 cum. Concourse slab of 5083 Sqm completed out of 8417 Sqm.
Sidewall (Concourse to Roof) of 2558 m³ out of 4155 m³. Roof Slab, 5506 Sqm completed out of 8939 Sqm.

City Market Station :- Side wall (Base Slab to Concourse Slab) of 5247 cum is completed out of 5820 cum.
Concourse slab of 4695 sqm completed out of 7442 sqm. Sidewall (Concourse to Roof) of 2182 cum
completed out of 3953 cum. Roof slab of 4286 sqm completed out of 7389 sqm.
UNDER GROUND KEMPEGOWDA INTER CHANGE STATION
Contract has been awarded to M/s GYT—Coastal (JV) for the construction of the Interchange Station
Base Slab of 12240 cum completed in North-South Corridor. Walls & Columns concreting of 16747 cum
completed out of 20777 cum. East-West concourse slab of 6596 cum completed. East-West Roof Slab of
3743 cum completed out of 5959 cum. Link line concreting of 4525 cum completed out of 4599 cum. Other works
like mid landing slab, vent shaft etc of 3738 cum completed out of 7650 cum.
REACH WISE TRACK PROGRESS
Reach 4 & 4a :- Track work completed. Placing of PVC covers for approximately 8.01 track Kms in Reach-4 & 4A
is completed.
Under Ground (East-West Corridor) :- Westbound track work of 4881.32 Track Kms is completed.
Eastbound track work of 3370 Track Kms is completed out of 5121 Track Kms.
Alumino-Thermic Welding out of 100 numbers, 44 numbers is completed.

DETAILS OF LAND AND PROPERTY ACQUISITION OF GOVERNMENT & PRIVATE PROPERTIES
PHASE - I

All the properties for Phase-I have been acquired, except two properties which are required for City Market
Under Ground Station. The acquisition of these two properties is stayed by the Hon’ble High Court of
Karnataka.
PHASE-II
REACH-1 Extension—(Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield)

Notification under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act has been issued for lands from Baiyappanahalli to Satya Sai
Hospital Station.

Notification under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act in respect of lands from Satya Sai Hospital Station to Whitefield
Station has been sent to KIADB.

Joint Measurement of lands from Baiyappanahalli to Mahadevapura is under progress.
REACH-2 Extension—(Mysore Road Junction of Ring Road to Kengeri)

Notification under Section 28(1) of KIAD Act has been published in respect of lands from Nayandahalli to
Kengeri. Compensation packages are being sent to KIADB.

Notification under Section 28(1) in respect of lands for Jnanabharati Station is also published and Joint
Measurement is in progress.

Depot concept plan at Challagatta is finalized and draft 28(1) Notification is being prepared.
REACH-3 Extension—(Nagasandra to Bangalore International Exhibition Centre)

Draft 28(1) Notification has been submitted to SLAO, KIADB on 18.05.2015.
REACH-4 Extension—(Puttenahalli to Anjanapura)

28(4) Notification has been sent to Government for approval in respect of lands from Puttenahalli Cross
Station to Krishnaleela Park.

28(1) Notification has been approved in respect of lands from Krishanleela Park to Anjanapura Township and
Joint Measurement is under progress.
REACH-5 New Line--(R.V. Road to Bommasandra)

28(1) Notification has been issued in respect of R V Road Terminal to Central Silk Board.

Draft 28(1) Notification from Central Silk Board to Muneshwaranagar has been submitted to KIADB.

Draft 28(1) Notification from Muneshwaranagar Station to Bommasandra is under preparation.
REACH-6 New Line--(Gottigere (IIMB) to Nagawara)

Draft 28(1) Notification from Gottigere to Dairy Circle is under preparation.

and 5 Stations.
Reach-3 North Extension - Nagasandra to Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC-Fully Elevated) - 3.8 kms
and 3 Stations.
Reach-4 South Extension - Puttenahalli to Anjanapura (Fully Elevated) - 6.30 kms and 5 Stations.

Reach-5 East-West - R.V. Road Station on the Existing N-S Corridor (Passenger Interchange) to Bommasandra
(Fully Elevated) 8.8 kms and 16Stations
Reach-6 North-South- Gottigere (IIMB) to Nagawara (Elevated 7.0 kms & Underground 14.20 kms)- 21.20 kms,
with 6 Elevated and 12 Under Ground Stations.
It may be seen from above that Phase-II includes a total length of 72.095 km (13.79 km Underground) and
61 Stations with 12 Underground Stations. Each line can be traced along with the Station Names in the Map below
for both Phase-I & Phase-II
