Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB) serves the growing Muslim community in Bolingbrook and
surrounding southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. MAB’s mission is to propagate the Deen of Allah
(SWT) by providing Islamic education, social services, and by engaging in Da’wah.
MAB is currently managing two masajid; Masjid Al-Islam and Masjid Al-Jumu’ah. We have a full-time Hifz
School (Boys and Girls) at Masjid Al-Jumu’ah and Nazirah program in both masajid. Under the supervision
of our Imam we have fulltime staff. We are looking to enhance and expand these programs and hence
the need for additional instructor.
We are looking to onboard a full-time Hifz teacher who can, assist with the current programs, help grow
these programs, and work with the youth in the community.
Job Description
General Responsibilities
Must Have






Teaching Hifz, 5 days a week, take the lead where needed and act as backup as needed
Teach tajweed rules
Listen to the lesson daily
Teach basic etiquettes and rulings to the students
Document and communicate progress with student, Imam, and parents in timely manner
Lead prayers as needed
Highly Desirable


Able to lead Jumu’ah if/when needed
Able to work with youth in the community by connecting with them. Prior experience as
youth coordinator or director is highly desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities





Hafiz, with fluent qiraat
Must have excellent tajweed
Proven track record of working with a Quran Hifz program in the U.S. and Ijazah
preferred
Experience working with children 8 years and older
Fluent in English and be able to communicate with children, overall excellent
communicator
