Application of the Ampere’s Law
In many symmetric situations, the Ampere’s Law gives us the magnetic field without
any hard calculations.
Trivial Example: A long straight Wire.
Consider a long straight wire running along the z axis and carrying current I in the +z
direction (Up). By symmetry, the magnetic field of this current depends only on the distance

Current Sheets
A current sheet is electric current flowing along some 2D surface. Thanks to the Ampere
