Rules 1-33 adopted by North American Feis Commission (effective 1/1/2009) are included by reference.
All competition times are approximate. Please be ready to dance one hour before your scheduled time. The Feis Committee will call a missing entrant
three times maximum. Competitors who fail to appear when called will forfeit their right to participate in that particular competition. We will not delay
a competition for any reason.
Competitions will be combined if the numbers warrant that decision.
Awards will be posted in a timely manner.
We wish to remind you of Rule 28: In consideration of safety and in fairness to dancers performing at a Feis, photography of any kind which has the
capacity of capturing a dancer’s image while in motion is strictly forbidden.
When awards are announced from the stage, competitors must be in costume, including dance shoes, to receive their awards.
The Bracken School of Irish Dance, Damhsa Irish Dance Company, Inc., the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort, the Feis Committee and anyone
associated with the Committee in putting on the Feis, shall not be held responsible or liable for any personal injury, property loss, or damage
incurred before, during, or after the Feis, by any participants, or by anyone attending the event.

Open only to those dancers entered in their very first feis. Dancers can enter those dances not offered in
First Feis category in Beginner 1, but can not repeat first feis dances in higher category.

There are no solo championship competitions. Each round of the championship will be judged by one adjudicator to give a solo competition result. At the end of the championship, awards will
be given for each solo round of the competition as well as the overall championship award.
ADULT
*All hardshoe dances will be at traditional speeds.
A dancer over the age of 18 who has not danced in the above described competitions for a period of five years. Dancers who are in the Adult categories cannot enter any competition other
than Adult specified competitions. A dancer who wishes to return to any category other than Adult must remain out of Adult competitions for five consecutive years before returning.

Description
An original Feis Memories Keepsake Design - All Age Groups may compete!! DETAILS: With all the precious memories
from each Feis and all your Irish Dance accomplishments, there must be some great ideas to keep those memories and
awards as a keepsake to add to after each Feis and to have for the future. Maybe you already have a way to document
and display these memories and awards or maybe you came up with a great idea to preserve your Feis Memories. Take
out your art supplies and get creative with your design, materials, and display. Or take photos or draw your current
display and write a brief description of the pictures. Finished entry size may not exceed 15” square. Entries must be
submitted by 11:00am Sunday and will be judged on: Feis Memories Keepsake Idea (70%) and Display Design (30%).
An original Competition Dress design - All Age Groups may compete!! DETAILS: Create your dream Competition Dress
using the Feis in the Desert Dress Template that can be found on line at www.feisinthedesert.org or at Registration.
Take out your art supplies and get creative with your design, materials, and display. All entries must be submitted on the
provided entry form, which may be modified for 2D or 3D displays. All entries must be completed using the Feis in the
Desert Dress Template. Finished entry size may not exceed 15” square. Entries must be submitted by 11:00am Sunday
and will be judged on: Dress Design (60%) and Dress Display (40%).
