You can come to our knit-a-longs, which are held twice a week, as long as you want. You can choose to come once a week or both, which ever fits your schedule. We will all be knitting one of the two scarves available on the same yarn, in different colors. You can choose either one or both. We have two amazing projects to choose from: The Clapotis: This French-inspired scarf was originally designed by Kate gilbert. The beautiful Clapotis scarf displayed in our store was constructed by Jessica Larriega. It's knit on the bias so the variegated yarn makes diagonal stripes and stitches are carefully dropped to make a pattern in the opposite direction. This creates a scarf which tends to be a little more of a parallelogram than a rectangle, but I promise, it's nice that way. It's made of the softest, most luxurious yarn I have ever used and is a dream to wear. The Glittering Fern: This amazing scarf was created by our very own Yen Lee This is a gorgeous medium weight shawl to add to your arsenal. The pattern keeps it interesting for the knitter, and the result is a classy, sweet “standard” to add to any woman’s wardrobe. It’s great to make for yourself or as a gift! The pattern on this shawl is just amazing! Picot and Lace Baby Sweater Set – In Crochet Instructor: Darlene Nudo Fee $50.00/2-2 Hour Classes Level: Beginner/Intermediate – must know the basic crochet stitches What’s cuter than a little baby sweater? Supplies: 6.0 mm (J) crochet hook, and sport weight yarn – 2 skeins Endpaper Mitts. Sometimes a tiny little hit is plenty. Instructor: Jessica Larriega Fee: $50/2-2 Hour Classes Intermediate to Advanced End papermitts are wonderful fingerless gloves. They're tiny enough that they're no commitment at all; they provided a good field for trying out some tweaks to techniques (a Better Tubular Cast On, anyone?), the pattern satisfies but doesn't exhaust; the structure is simple enough, clean enough, to approach orderly grace. They'll also be eminently practical: the house is kept chilly year-round (can't abide a stuffy room), but stiff fingers aren't an option. You will be very pleased with these precious items. Yarn: 180 yards of fingerweight yarn Needles: 2.00mm (US 0) circular needles and 2.75mm (US 2) DPNs Gauge: 8 sts/inch over pattern - Treads Fingerless Gloves Instructor: Loraine Ferguson Fee: $50./2-2 Hour classes Level: Intermediate The star of these gloves is the linen ridge stitch. The way it is incorporated resembles the textured patterns on the treads of tires, and so that’s how these lovelies got their name. Suitable for both genders, this is a versatile pattern that can be easily modified to fit smaller or larger sizes. It could also be easily modified to make full-fingered gloves, fingerless gloves, or even mittens. The three stitches you will master when you create these gloves will be ones you incorporate into many more projects to come. Enjoy! Supplies: US 5 double point needles, 150 – 200 yds. The stitch pattern in the hat swirls around creating a ripple. Designed with a bulky yarn this hat pattern knits up in a flash. Because of its slouchy shape and wide ribbed brim you can fold up the ribbing for a more fitted hat and extra warmth around your ears. This hat pattern is suggested for intermediate knitters as the decrease is a bit tricky. Supplies: Worsted Weight Yarn, size 6-7 DPNs, Stitch Markers
